Winston Mawdsley Graham OBE, born Winston Grime (30 June 1908 – 10 July 2003), was an English novelist best known for the ''Poldark'' series of historical novels set in Cornwall, though he also wrote numerous other works, including contemporary thrillers, period novels, short stories, non-fiction and plays. Marnie Halpern (born December 25, 1956) is the Andrew J. Thomson Professor and Chair of molecular and systems biology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. She is a Pew Scholar in the Biomedical Sciences. and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Margaret Louise Barrell (born 30 December 1952) is a New Zealand hymn writer and music teacher. Barrell was born on 30 December 1952 in Ashburton. She was educated at Timaru Girls' High School and Christchurch Girls' High School. She went on to study at the University of Canterbury, from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. At the University of Auckland, she earned a Bachelor of Theology degree.
