"Make You Feel My Love", also known as "To Make You Feel My Love", is a song written by Bob Dylan for his album '' Time Out of Mind'', released in September 1997. It was first released commercially in August 1997 by Billy Joel for his compilation album '' Greatest Hits Volume III''. It is one of the few songs to have achieved the status of becoming a " standard" in the 21st century, having been covered by more than 450 different artists. The best known cover versions are ones by Adele, Michael Bolton, Neil Diamond, Elkie Brooks, Boy George, Bryan Ferry, Joan Osborne, Garth Brooks, Kelly Clarkson with Ben Platt, Nick Knowles, and Pink. Bryan Ferry (born 26 September 1945) is an English singer and songwriter. He became known as the frontman of the band Roxy Music and also launched a solo career. Never Ending Tour
The Never Ending Tour is the popular name for Bob Dylan's ongoing touring schedule which began on June 7, 1988. The tour amassed a huge fan base with some fans traveling from around the world to attend as many Dylan shows as possible. Dylan himself has been dismissive of the Never Ending Tour tag. He writes in the sleeve notes to his album '' World Gone Wrong'' (1993): Nevertheless, his touring schedule has continued to be referred to as the "Never Ending Tour" by most media outlets. According to Swedish researcher Olof Björner, Dylan played show number 2,000 of the Never Ending Tour on October 16, 2007, in Dayton, Ohio. He played show number 3,000 on April 19, 2019, in Innsbruck, Austria. August "Augie" Meyers (born May 31, 1940) is an American musician, songwriter, studio musician, record producer, and record label owner. He is perhaps best known as a founding member of the Sir Douglas Quintet and the Texas Tornados. History He was born in San Antonio, Texas, United States. In the early 1960s, Meyers and Doug Sahm founded the Sir Douglas Quintet. Tony Garnier (born May 10, 1955) is an American bassist, best known as an accompanist to Bob Dylan, with whom he has played since 1989. Biography Garnier was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and grew up in southern California. His grandfather, D'Jalma "Papa" Garnier, was a New Orleans jazz trumpeter and bandleader. Garnier's brother, also named D'Jalma, is a Creole fiddler. Garnier joined Dylan's Never Ending Tour band in 1989, and has sometimes been characterized as his musical director, assisting with setlists and acting as a liaison between Dylan and the rest of the band.
