Nevertire is a rural village in New South Wales, Australia. It is located at the junction of the Mitchell Highway and the Oxley Highway, in Warren Shire. Narromine
Narromine (Help:IPA/English, /næroʊmaɪn/) is a rural Australian town located approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of Dubbo in the Orana, New South Wales, Orana region of New South Wales. The town is at the centre of Narromine Shire. The 2021 census recorded a population of 3,507. Narromine holds strong historical ties to the Australian Military, as it was the location of List of RAAF inland aircraft fuel depots, RAAF No.19 Inland Aircraft Fuel Depot (IAFD) during World War II. Dubbo Railway Station
Dubbo railway station is a heritage-listed railway station and bus interchange located on the Main Western line in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. The station serves the city of Dubbo and was opened on 1 February 1881. The station is also known as Dubbo Railway Station and yard group. The property was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The station and associated yards were designed by the office of the Engineer-in-Chief of the NSW Government Railways, under the direction of John Whitton. Dubbo was a major railway centre, being the junction for the Main Western, Molong–Dubbo and Coonamble lines and maintaining a sizeable locomotive depot. The Troy Junction–Merrygoen railway line also branches off close to the station. Dubbo was the limit for heavier 36, 38 and 60 class locomotives, with smaller locomotives taking over for journeys further west. Broken Hill Railway Line
The Broken Hill railway line, extending from Orange, New South Wales to Broken Hill, is now part of the transcontinental rail corridor from Sydney to Perth. The first railway line in New South Wales opened from Sydney to Parramatta Junction (near Granville station) in 1855 and was extended as the Main Western line in stages to Orange in 1877. The Broken Hill line branched off the Main Western line at Orange and was opened to Molong in 1885. It was extended to Parkes and Forbes in 1893, and extended from Parkes to Bogan Gate and Condobolin in 1898. Roto and Trida were reached in 1919. A gap remained between Trida and Menindee after an isolated standard-gauge line was opened from Menindee to the town of Broken Hill in 1919.
