Main Street Electrical Parade
The ''Main Street Electrical Parade'' is a nighttime parade that first premiered at Disneyland in 1972 and has since become the longest running parade in Disney history, performing at Disney Experiences, Disney Parks worldwide. Created by Robert Jani and project director Ron Miziker, the parade features Float (parade), floats and live performers covered in over 600,000 electronically controlled LED lights. The parade uses a synchronized soundtrack featuring a signature theme, Baroque Hoedown, which is arranged to complement each float. The original parade at Disneyland in California ran from 1972 to 1996, and returned for limited engagements in 2017, 2019, and 2022. The neighboring Disney California Adventure park hosted the parade between 2001 and 2010. Paint The Night
''Paint the Night Parade'' is a nighttime parade at Hong Kong Disneyland on Lantau Island, Hong Kong and at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The Hong Kong version premiered on September 11, 2014, as part of the park's 9th anniversary expansion. The California version debuted at Disneyland on May 22, 2015, as part of the park's 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration. The parade is a spiritual successor to the long-running Main Street Electrical Parade, which has appeared at numerous Disney parks (except Hong Kong Disneyland) in several different incarnations since June 17, 1972. On January 25, 2020, Hong Kong Disneyland‘s version of the parade made its final performance due to the COVID-19 outbreak's impact on China. ''Disney's Fantillusion!'', sometimes known by its full name: ''Disney's Fantillusion Parade'', and sometimes called ''Fandy'', was a regularly scheduled night-time parade, created by Ron Logan, that performed nightly at Disneyland Paris during its summer and winter seasons. It featured floats and live performers covered in thousands of electronically controlled lights and a synchronized soundtrack controlled by a Dual-tone multi-frequency signaling (DTMF) tone broadcast along the parade route.
