Luke Brennan (Australian Footballer)
Luke Brennan (born 3 March 1985) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Hawthorn and the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was recruited to the Hawthorn Football Club with the 8th selection in the 2002 AFL Draft. After just 19 games in four seasons, he struggled at the elite level. He played 10 games in a row during the middle part of the 2005 season. In that year he was also the runner-up in ''The AFL Footy Shows singing competition. Brennan was delisted by Hawthorn at the end of the 2006 AFL season. He was later selected by Sydney in the 2007 AFL rookie draft. He received a Mark of the Year nomination in Round 18, 2008 against the Western Bulldogs for a courageous mark over a pack of players. At the end of the season, however, he was again delisted. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. Founded in 1877 as the Footscray Football Club, and based in West Footscray in the old City of Footscray west of Melbourne, the club won nine premierships in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) before gaining admission to the Victorian Football League (which became the AFL in 1990) in 1925. The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is the largest senior community Australian rules football competition in Victoria (Australia), Victoria. It consists of seven senior men's and women's divisions ranging from Premier to Division 4. In addition there are U19's sections and five Thirds sections, primarily made up of either clubs only able to field one team, or clubs from higher sections that can field a third team after their seniors and reserves. The league operates a double promotion and relegation system between sections with various rules dictating which section clubs can play in. The annual Australian Football League Mark of the Year competition (currently also known as the Four'N Twenty AFL Mark of the Year) is a sporting award that celebrates each season's best mark. A mark is the action of a player cleanly catching a kicked ball that has travelled more than without the ball hitting the ground. North Ballarat Rebels
The Greater Western Victoria Rebels is an Australian rules football club which plays in the NAB League, the statewide under-18s competition in Victoria, Australia. Initially known as the Ballarat Rebels and wearing green and gold, the team was established in 1993 as one of four regional under-18s clubs, set up as part of a plan by the AFL Commission to have clubs set in all regions of the state of Victoria. The club became affiliated with the new VFL's North Ballarat Football Club in 1996, and changed its name to North Ballarat Rebels and its colours to black and white to reflect this.
