Loyalist Collegiate And Vocational Institute
Loyalist Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI) is a secondary school (high school) located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It is commonly referred to as simply "LC". The school is located at 153 Van Order Drive in the city's Calvin Park neighbourhood. It was built to serve newly developed areas in what was then the west end of the city, where thousands of new homes were being built in the early 1960s. Loyalist was the third public high school in the city, and was needed to accommodate the first wave of the baby boom generation then entering their teen years. Construction began in 1962 and classes began in fall 1963. The official opening was held October 6, 1964. LCVI hosted elementary school students when it first opened, since construction of Calvin Park Public School, located across the street from the high school, had not yet been completed. Kingston, Ontario
Kingston is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is located on the north-eastern end of Lake Ontario, at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and at the mouth of the Cataraqui River (south end of the Rideau Canal). The city is midway between Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. Isra Girgrah (born September 16, 1971) is a Yemeni-born American professional world champion female boxer. Family and early life The Girgrah family is of the old gypsy roaming families of Aden who are originally of Ethiopian descent. They trace their roots to the southern Yemeni mountains. Brigadier General Kenneth "Ken" Watkin, (born 1954) is a Canadian lawyer, soldier and jurist. Watkin was Judge Advocate General (JAG) of the Canadian Forces from 2006 to 2010. He is an expert on military law. He was promoted to brigadier general and appointed JAG effective April 2006, for a four-year term. The Canadian Tire guy is a character played by actor Ted Simonett in a series of television commercials for Canadian Tire stores that ran for eight years. The character typically touted the features and benefits of products unique to Canadian Tire in a friendly, helpful everyday scenario. In 2005, Canadian Tire changed advertising agencies, which led to a gradual phasing out of Simonett's character. In March 2006, he and on-screen wife "Gloria" were let go since the commercials had become the subject of parody, and as such were no longer considered effective.
