London Road, Southwark
London Road is a road in Southwark, Central London, England, which connects St George's Circus (northwest) and the Elephant and Castle roundabout (southeast). To the east is the campus of London South Bank University including the Technopark building and the London Road Building, in a triangle formed by London Road, Borough Road and Newington Causeway. At the southeastern end is the Elephant and Castle tube station. The road forms part of the A201 and is one-way for most traffic (flowing southeast), with a buses and cycles only lane heading in the opposite direction. To the southeast, the A201 continues as the New Kent Road and to the north is Blackfriars Road leading to the Thames at Blackfriars Bridge and thence the City of London. Elephant And Castle Tube Station
Elephant & Castle is a London Underground station in the London Borough of Southwark in south London. It is on the Bank branch of the Northern line between Kennington and Borough stations, and is the southern terminus of the Bakerloo line, the next station being Lambeth North. The station is in both Travelcard Zones 1 and 2. The Northern line station was opened in 1890 by the City and South London Railway (C&SLR) while the Bakerloo line station was opened sixteen years later by the Baker Street and Waterloo Railway (BS&WR). There is out-of-station interchange with the nearby Elephant & Castle National Rail station. A girl born at the station in 1924 was the first baby to be born on the Underground network. The Bakerloo line building remains much as originally constructed and is a typical Leslie Green structure. City Of London

Blackfriars Bridge
Blackfriars Bridge is a road and foot traffic bridge over the River Thames in London, between Waterloo Bridge and Blackfriars Railway Bridge, carrying the A201 road. The north end is in the City of London near the Inns of Court and Temple Church, along with Blackfriars station. The south end is in the London Borough of Southwark, near the Tate Modern art gallery and the Oxo Tower. River Thames

Blackfriars Road
Blackfriars Road is a road in Southwark, SE1. It runs between St George's Circus at the southern end and Blackfriars Bridge over the River Thames at the northern end, leading to the City of London. Halfway up on the west side is Southwark Underground station, on the corner with The Cut. Opposite is Palestra, a large new office building which houses the Surface transport division of Transport for London, which was formerly the headquarters of the London Development Agency. New Kent Road
New Kent Road is a road in the London Borough of Southwark. The road was created in 1751 when the Turnpike Trust upgraded a local footpath. This was done as part of the general road improvements associated with the creation of Westminster Bridge; in effect it was possible to travel from the West End/ Westminster to the south-east without having to go via the Borough of Southwark but could now cross St George's Fields to the junction of Newington Causeway and Newington Butts which is where New Kent Road starts at Elephant & Castle. The route runs eastward for a few hundred yards to the junction of Great Dover Street and Tower Bridge Road, known as Bricklayers Arms, where it joins the original route to the south-east Old Kent Road (the A2). A201 Road
The A201 is an A road in London running from Kings Cross to Bricklayer's Arms. The route runs through Central London, including King's Cross, Clerkenwell, Farringdon, Blackfriars, and Elephant and Castle. A small stretch of the road between Bricklayer's Arms and Elephant and Castle (New Kent Road) forms part of the London Inner Ring Road. Newington Causeway

It follows the route of the old Roman road Stane Street. In 1912, an outpatients' department of the South London Hospital for Women and Children was opened in Newington Causeway, using money raised by Harriet Shaw Weaver, publisher of ''The Freewoman'', and other feminists. Southwark
Southwark ( ) is a district of Central London situated on the south bank of the River Thames, forming the north-western part of the wider modern London Borough of Southwark. The district, which is the oldest part of South London, developed due to its position at the southern end of the early versions of London Bridge, the only crossing point for many miles. London's historic core, the City of London, lay north of the Bridge and for centuries the area of Southwark just south of the bridge was partially governed by the city. South Bank Technopark
South Bank Technopark at London South Bank University, England, houses the main administration for the university, including the Vice-Chancellor's Office, under the leadership of Prof. David Phoenix. The Technopark building was opened in November 1985. Hugh West became its CEO in 1988. It is designed in a modular way, with a floor area of 3,000 m2, which can be divided into units from around 19 m2 in size. As well as university offices, there are also a number of small companies that rent space in the building. The Technopark currently houses 37 high-tech businesses.
