''Veer-Zaara'' () is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Yash Chopra, who co-produced it with his son Aditya Chopra. Recorded in March 1969, it was released in April, four months before the album, as the B-side of "Bad Moon Rising", the lead single from ''Green River''. The song describes the plight of a down-and-out musician whose career has landed him playing gigs in the town of Lodi (pronounced "low-die"), a small agricultural community in California's Central Valley, located around southeast of Sacramento and northeast of Fogerty's hometown of El Cerrito. After playing in local bars, the narrator finds himself stranded and unable to raise bus or train fare to leave. Fogerty later said he had never actually visited Lodi before writing this song, and simply picked it for the song because it had "the coolest sounding name." Lodi Township is a township in Mower County, Minnesota, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the township population was 249. The largest town contained within the township is Taopi with 93 people. The remainder of the township is unincorporated area. History Almond Fryer settled on the banks of the Upper Iowa River in section 14 of the township in 1855. The name at the time of surveying was Lodi, but when the township was organized in February 1874 it was called "Belleview," as was the railroad station. Lodi Township is a civil township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,058 at the 2010 census. Communities *Lodi is a historic settlement located within the township. Hugh Crestie made the first land purchase in the area in 1824 in the Michigan Territory. Crestie never settled in the area, while Allen Williams built the first house in 1825. A post office opened on August 29, 1827 and later became the name of the township, which was established in 1834. The community was also known as Lodi Plains and was named after Lodi in the Finger Lakes region of New York, from which many early settlers originated. The post office closed on February 3, 1856. Lodi ( ) is a city in Columbia County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 3,189 at the 2020 census. Lodi is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Isaac Palmer founded the village of Lodi in 1846 in what was then the Pleasant Valley Precinct of the Wisconsin Territory. He named it after Lodi, in Italy.
