''Livin' it Up'' is the tenth studio album by American country music singer George Strait, released in 1990 on MCA Records. It has been certified platinum by the RIAA. The tracks "Drinking Champagne", " Love Without End, Amen", and "I've Come to Expect It From You" were all released as singles; "Drinking Champagne" was a #4 hit on the Hot Country Songs charts, while the other two singles were both Number One hits. "She Loves Me (She Don't Love You)" was written and originally recorded by Conway Twitty, and was later recorded on Gary Allan's 1998 album '' It Would Be You''. "Lonesome Rodeo Cowboy" was first recorded by Strait and The Ace in the Hole Band in the 1970s and was the B-side to "(That Don't Change) The Way I Feel About You", the latter of which is included on '' Strait Out of the Box''. George Strait
George Harvey Strait Sr. (born May 18, 1952) is an American country music singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer. Strait is considered one of the most influential and popular recording artists of all time. It Would Be You
''It Would Be You'' is the second studio album by American country music singer Gary Allan. It was released on May 19, 1998, as his last studio album for the Decca Records Nashville label. After that album's release, Decca Records Nashville closed, so Gary Allan signed contracts with MCA Records Nashville. The album produced three singles with the title track, "No Man in His Wrong Heart", and "I'll Take Today". The title track was Allan's second Top 10 hit on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs chart at number 7. Content "No Judgement Day", the final track on this album, is a hidden track. Written by Allen Shamblin, this song is based on the true story of a restaurant owner in Texas who was murdered by a former employee and two accomplices in search of money. Steel Guitar
A steel guitar ( haw, kīkākila) is any guitar played while moving a steel bar or similar hard object against plucked strings. The bar itself is called a "steel" and is the source of the name "steel guitar". The instrument differs from a conventional guitar in that it is played without using frets; conceptually, it is somewhat akin to playing a guitar with one finger (the bar). Known for its portamento capabilities, gliding smoothly over every pitch between notes, the instrument can produce a sinuous crying sound and deep vibrato emulating the human singing voice. Typically, the strings are plucked (not strummed) by the fingers of the dominant hand, while the steel tone bar is pressed lightly against the strings and moved by the opposite hand. Paul Franklin (musician)
Paul V. Franklin (born May 31, 1954) is an American multi-instrumentalist, known mainly for his work as a steel guitarist. He began his career in the 1970s as a member of Barbara Mandrell's road band; in addition he toured with Vince Gill, Mel Tillis, Jerry Reed and Dire Straits. He has since become a prolific session musician in Nashville, playing on more than 500 albums. He has been named by the Academy of Country Music as Best Steel Guitarist on several occasions. He was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 2000 and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2019. Floyd Domino is an American musician known for his work in the genre of Western swing. Biography Born a native of California, Domino was introduced to Western swing by way of the musicians who had migrated from Texas and Oklahoma in the 1930s and 1940s. Aaron Barker (born March 5, 1953 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American singer-songwriter. Barker has written No. 1 songs for George Strait (" Baby Blue", " Love Without End, Amen", " Easy Come, Easy Go") and Lonestar (" What About Now"). Bill Mack Smith Jr. (June 4, 1929 – July 31, 2020) was an American country music songwriter, singer, and radio host. While at WBAP Radio, Mack initiated the Bill Mack Million Mile Club for truckers achieving one million miles of accident-free over-the-road driving. Randall Clay Blaker (born June 27, 1950) is an American country musician, singer-songwriter, and producer based in Texas for most of his career.
