Cameroon
Cameroon (; french: Cameroun, ff, Kamerun), officially the Republic of Cameroon (french: République du Cameroun, links=no), is a country in west-central Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west and north; Chad to the northeast; the Central African Republic to the east; and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and the Republic of the Congo to the south. Its coastline lies on the Bight of Biafra, part of the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean. Due to its strategic position at the crossroads between West Africa and Central Africa, it has been categorized as being in both camps. Its nearly 27 million people speak 250 native languages. Early inhabitants of the territory included the Sao civilisation around Lake Chad, and the Baka hunter-gatherers in the southeastern rainforest. Seidou Njimoluh Njoya
Seidou Njimoluh Njoya (Bamum: ''Sɛt-tu Nʒemɔleʔ Nʒeɔya'' , 1902 – 28 July 1992)DeLancey and DeLancey 206. ruled the Bamum people of Cameroon from 1933 to 1992 as the Sultan of Foumban and Mfon of the Bamun. Njimoluh was the son of Ibrahim Njoya, and he was educated in French, English, and the bamum script developed by his father. In 1931, in order to break the power of the Bamun, French administrators had exiled Ibrahim Njoya to Yaoundé. The Bamum nobles had been scattered due to the French occupation, but they eventually chose Njimoluh from among Ibrahim Njoya's 177 children and reached an agreement with the French authorities. Seidou Njimoluh Njoya became the 18th mfon of the Bamum in June 1933 after the death of his father. Njoya later served on the legislative and national assemblies of Cameroon during both colonial and post-colonial periods. Njimoluh was a patron of the arts and worked to preserve Bamun culture. Henri Hogbe Nlend (born 23 December 1939) is a Cameroonian mathematician, university professor, former government minister and presidential candidate. Biography Henri Hogbe Nlend was a professor at the University of Yaoundé, and at the University of Bordeaux. Salomon Tandeng Muna (27 March 1912 – January 22, 2002) was a Cameroonian politician of the Cameroonian National Union. He served as the first Prime Minister of the federated state of West Cameroon from January 11, 1968 to June 2, 1972. John Ngu Foncha
John Ngu Foncha (21 June 1916 – 10 April 1999) was a Cameroonian politician, who served as 5th Prime Minister of Cameroon. Career Foncha was born in Bamenda. He founded the Kamerun National Democratic Party (KNDP) in 1955 and became Premier of the British Cameroons on 1 February 1959. He held that position until 1 October 1961, when the region merged into a federation with Francophone Cameroon. From 1 October 1961 to 13 May 1965, Foncha concurrently served as 5th Prime Minister of Cameroon and Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Cameroon. He held the latter title until 1970. In 1994, he led a delegation of the Southern Cameroons National Council (SCNC) to the United Nations to request its backing of the movement's drive for greater autonomy in Cameroon's two English-speaking provinces. Henry Ndifor Abi Enonchong
Dr. Henry Ndifor Abi Enonchong (22 March 1934 – 26 June 2008) was a Cameroonian barrister. He was born in Besongabang, in the Manyu department of the Southwest Province. Enonchong is the direct descendant of Chief Abane, who is said to be the founder of the Besongabang chiefdom. Enonchong founded the Federal Cameroon Bar Association and its successor, the Cameroon Bar Association. He also wrote books and articles on Law, including The Cameroon Constitutional Law: Federalism in a Mixed Common Law and Civil Law System, published 1967 in Yaounde and The Cameroon Federal Capital, published in 1972 by Toronto University Press. In 1974 he founded Enonchong Memorial College, Besongabang, a secondary commercial college, aimed at the education of underprivileged children.
