List Of Songs Recorded By Slipknot
Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. The band was founded in 1995 by vocalist Anders Colsefni, guitarists Donnie Steele and Josh Brainard, bassist Paul Gray, drummer Joey Jordison and percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan, who released the group's first demo ''Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.'' in 1996. After its release, the band went through a number of lineup changes, replacing Colsefni with Corey Taylor, Steele with Mick Thomson and Brainard with Jim Root, as well as adding second percussionist Chris Fehn, turntablist Sid Wilson and sampler Craig "133" Jones. The nine-piece's official debut album, Slipknot, was produced by Ross Robinson and released by Roadrunner Records in 1999. Most of the songwriting was credited to all nine members except Root, who had joined the band late into the recording process. The follow-up to ''Slipknot'', entitled ''Iowa'', was released in 2001 and credited all nine band members for songwriting. Many songs from ''Slipknot' ...

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Joey Jordison and bassist Paul Gray. After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on nine members for more than a decade: Crahan, Jordison, Gray, Craig Jones, Mick Thomson, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, Chris Fehn, and Jim Root. Gray died on May 24, 2010, and was replaced during 2011–2014 by guitarist Donnie Steele. Jordison was dismissed from the band on December 12, 2013. Steele left during the recording sessions for '' .5: The Gray Chapter''. The band found replacements in Alessandro Venturella on bass and Jay Weinberg on drums. After the departure of Jordison, the only founding member in the current lineup is percussionist Crahan. Fehn was also dismissed from the band in March 2019 prior to the writing of '' We Are Not Your Kind'' and was replaced by Michael Pfaff. Slipknot (album)
''Slipknot'' is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. It was released on June 29, 1999 by Roadrunner Records, following a demo containing a few of the songs which had previously been released in 1998. Later, it was reissued in December 1999 with a slightly-altered track listing and mastering as the result of a lawsuit. It was the first release by the band to be produced by Ross Robinson, who sought to refine Slipknot's sound rather than alter the group's musical direction. This is the only album to feature original guitarist Josh Brainard who left at the end of recording in late 1998 while the band was taking a brief break. Jim Root, who recorded two tracks at this point, would appear full time on subsequent albums. The album spans several genres, but is generally noted for its extensive percussion and overall heavy sound. It was well received by fans and critics alike and was responsible for bringing Slipknot a large increase in popularity. The album peak ...

All Hope Is Gone
''All Hope Is Gone'' is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot, released on August 26, 2008 by Roadrunner Records. The album was published in two versions: the standard album in a CD case and a special edition packaged in a six-fold digipak containing three bonus tracks, a 40 page booklet, and a bonus DVD with a documentary of the album's recording. Preparation for the album began in 2007, while recording started in February 2008 in the band's home state of Iowa. Before the album's launch, Slipknot released a series of promotional images and audio samples from the album through various websites. ''All Hope Is Gone'' was considered the band's most eclectic-sounding album at the time of release, incorporating elements from their previous three. The album shows Slipknot completely abandoning the nu metal genre, moving to a groove metal style. Songs such as the opening track "Gematria (The Killing Name)" and the title track espouse the band's more bruta ...

(The Subliminal Verses)
''Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)'' is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot, released on May 25, 2004, by Roadrunner Records. A special edition, containing a bonus disc, was released on April 12, 2005. It is the band's only album produced by Rick Rubin. Following the band's tour to promote its second album in 2002, speculation regarding the future began. Some band members had already been involved in side projects including Murderdolls, To My Surprise, and the reformation of Stone Sour. In 2003, Slipknot moved into The Mansion to work on the album. Initially, the band was unproductive; lead vocalist Corey Taylor was drinking heavily. Nevertheless, the band managed to write more than enough material for a new album. ''Vol. 3'' is credited as Slipknot's first to incorporate more traditional, melodic song structures, guitar solos and acoustic instruments. The album received generally positive reviews. Slipknot was praised by AllMusic for its "dedication ...

History Omnibus Press was launched in 1972 as a general non-fiction publisher to complement the sheet music published and distributed by its parent company Music Sales Group. Music Sales had launched a separate company called Book Sales Ltd and the earliest Book Sales catalogue, issued in the early 70s, included compilations of underground comic strips, art and photography titles and one of the earliest books on the then newly discovered art of video. After former ''Melody Maker'' music journalist Chris Charlesworth joined as Omnibus editor in 1983, it was decided to concentrate exclusively on music books, and among its earliest acquisitions was Rock Family Trees by music archivist Pete Frame which remains in print and have been the basis of two BBC TV series. Over the succeeding decades Omnibus has published many biograph ...

Disasterpieces
''Disasterpieces'' is the second video album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. Unveiled at an advance screening in New York City on November 1, 2002, and released on November 22 by Roadrunner Records, the two-disc set features a concert at London Dockland Arena, and all the band's music videos to date, including songs from '' Slipknot'' and ''Iowa''. The concert was filmed by 26 cameras, including one on the headstock of Mick Thomson's guitar and a "first person" point of view of several band-members. The show was edited in part by band member Shawn Crahan who watched all the footage recorded at the show. ''Disasterpieces'' met a positive critical reception, with many citing the quick editing and sound quality as strong points. Certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA in 2005, it is the band's highest-selling DVD to date, shipping at least 400,000 units as a longform video. Recording and production ''Disasterpieces'' was filmed at the now defunct London Dockland A ...

Iowa (album)
''Iowa'' is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. Released by Roadrunner Records on August 28, 2001, it was produced by Ross Robinson and Slipknot. The title derives from the band's home state, Iowa, which members have stated is one of their greatest sources of inspiration. With much anticipation for the album following the success of their 1999 self-titled debut, pressures on the band were high. Their relationships with each other suffered and this was later described as the darkest time of their career. It was also the first full album to feature guitarist Jim Root after only appearing on two songs from their previous album. Despite troubles within the band and with ''Iowa''s development, Slipknot promoted it for almost a year. ''Iowa'' was a major success, premiering in the top tens of nine countries. Generally positively received, it includes some of their notable songs, such as "Disasterpiece", " The Heretic Anthem", "People = Shit" and the Gramm ...
