''Guinness World Records'', known from its inception in 1955 until 1999 as ''The Guinness Book of Records'' and in previous United States editions as ''The Guinness Book of World Records'', is a reference book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world. The brainchild of Sir Hugh Beaver, the book was co-founded by twin brothers Norris and Ross McWhirter in Fleet Street, London, in August 1955. The first edition topped the best-seller list in the United Kingdom by Christmas 1955. Athbhutha Dweepu
''Albhutha Dweepu'' () is a 2005 Indian Malayalam-language fantasy film directed by Vinayan. The plot is set on an otherworld island where all men are dwarfs and women are of normal height, and humans are considered monsters. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Guinness Pakru alongside Mallika Kapoor, Jagathy Sreekumar, Jagadish, Indrans, Kalpana, Ponnamma Babu and Bindu Panicker in supporting roles. Pakru who played prince Gajendran made an entry into the Guinness Book of Records for being the shortest actor (76 cm height) to play a full-length character in a film. Ajay Kumar (born 31 August 1976), popularly known as Guinness Pakru, is an Indian actor. He has made an entry into the Guinness World Records for being the shortest actor () to play a character in a full-length film. He played the lead role in ''Athbhutha Dweepu'', a Malayalam movie directed by Vinayan. The movie was later dubbed in Tamil and Telugu versions. The film ''Athbhutha Dweepu'' starred him as dwarf prince Gajendra of the kingdom Vamanapuri on a fantasy island, where the men were cursed to be dwarfs and women were of normal height. The word " longevity" is sometimes used as a synonym for " life expectancy" in demography. Susanna Bokoyni
Susanna Bokoyni (24 April 1879 – 24 August 1984), also known as "Princess Susanna", was a Hungarian centenarian and circus performer who was listed in Guinness World Records as the longest-lived dwarf on record. Early life and career Bokoyni was born in Hungary on 24 April 1879. Medical doctors told her family that she would not live past age seven. At age 16, she became a dancer at Budapest's Orpheum Theater. She later toured with Rose's Parisian Midget Follies and Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show where she performed a tightrope act. Later life and death In 1972, the nonagenarian Bokoyni moved to Newton, New Jersey and settled at the Merriam House Retirement Home. Caesarean section, also known as C-section or caesarean delivery, is the surgical procedure by which one or more babies are delivered through an incision in the mother's abdomen, often performed because vaginal delivery would put the baby or mother at risk. Francis Joseph Flynn (6 October 1864 – 5 October 1898), better known as General Mite, was an American dwarf who performed as a showman at various competitions around the world. Flynn was born on 6 October 1864 in Greene, New York, the son of Edward Finnion Flynn and Mary Ann Flynn and brother to Alice Flynn. They were of average height.
