Kapa is a fabric made by native Hawaiians from the bast fibres of certain species of trees and shrubs in the orders Rosales and Malvales. KDNN (98.5 FM, "Island 98.5") is a Hawaiian Contemporary hits formatted radio station based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The iHeartMedia, Inc. outlet broadcasts with an ERP of 51 kW. It also transmits on Oceanic Spectrum digital channel 851 for the entire state of Hawaii. Its studios are located in the Kalihi neighborhood of Honolulu, while its transmitter is located downtown. Christian Satellite Network (CSN) International is a Christian radio network based in Twin Falls, Idaho. KAWZ, 89.9 MHz, in Twin Falls is the uplink station, feeding 337 broadcast translators nationwide and 42 full-power radio stations across the United States, including Alaska and the Hawaiian Islands. KCIF (90.3 FM) is a radio station in Hilo, Hawaii. The station is owned by CSN International and airs a Christian rock format as an affiliate of Effect Radio. History KCIF is the spiritual successor to another Hilo Christian radio station, KFSH at 97.1 MHz. That station, owned by the University of the Nations, was sold in July 1995 and became secular KNWB. As a result, Hilo Christian Broadcasting was formed, airing programming on KPUA (670 AM) and receiving a $60,000 equipment donation from the former KFSH.
