Pharmacy
Pharmacy is the science and practice of discovering, producing, preparing, dispensing, reviewing and monitoring medications, aiming to ensure the safe, effective, and affordable use of medication, medicines. It is a miscellaneous science as it links health sciences with pharmaceutical sciences and natural sciences. The professional practice is becoming more clinically oriented as most of the drugs are now manufactured by pharmaceutical industries. Based on the setting, pharmacy practice is either classified as community or institutional pharmacy. Providing direct patient care in the community of institutional pharmacies is considered clinical pharmacy. The scope of pharmacy practice includes more traditional roles such as compounding and dispensing of medications. It also includes more modern services related to health care including clinical services, reviewing medications for safety and efficacy, and providing drug information. The Pharmaceutical Association Of Israel
The Pharmaceutical Association of Israel ( he, הסתדרות הרוקחים, ''Histadrut HaRokhim'') is a nonprofit umbrella organization for promoting and supporting pharmacies and pharmacists in Israel. It was founded in 1920 as The Internationally Licensed Pharmacists Association of the Land of Israel and got its current name with the founding of the state in 1948. The association has 500 full members and another 800 associates, and is a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). American Society Of Consultant Pharmacists
The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) is an international professional association that provides education, advocacy, and resources to advance the practice of senior care pharmacy, and that represents the interests of consultant pharmacists who work with elderly patients. The organization is based in Alexandria, Virginia and was founded in 1969 by several consultant pharmacists including George F. Archambault and R. Tim Webster. American Pharmacists Association
The American Pharmacists Association (APhA, previously known as the American Pharmaceutical Association), founded in 1852, is the first-established professional society of pharmacists in the United States. The association consists of more than 62,000 practicing pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, student pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and others interested in the profession. The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) is the national organization representing the interests of pharmacy education. Founded in 1900, AACP comprises all accredited colleges and schools with pharmacy degree programs, including more than 6,400 faculty, 63,800 students enrolled in professional programs, and 4,800 individuals pursuing graduate study in the field of pharmacy. Royal Pharmaceutical Society
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPharmS or RPS) is the body responsible for the leadership and support of the pharmacy profession (pharmacists) within England, Scotland, and Wales. It was created along with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in September 2010 when the previous Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain was split so that representative and regulatory functions of the pharmacy profession could be separated. The National Pharmacy Association is a British industry trade association for independent Community Pharmacy established in 1921. History The NPA’s origins can be traced to 1921, when the Retail Pharmacists’ Union (RPU) was founded as a body to respond to a need of representation for pharmacists in employment matters and regulate industry prices. The Portuguese Pharmaceutical Industry Association (Associação Portuguesa Da Indústria Farmacêutica) is a trade association based in Lisbon.
