List Of Militaries That Recruit Foreigners
This is a list of militaries that recruit foreign applicants. This includes any individuals who are Alien (law), aliens of the polity whose armed forces they are being recruited to join by Military recruitment, professional recruiters. The foreigners need not be legal residents of that nation, but may gain legal residence status by joining the armed forces. The European Economic Area (EEA) was established via the ''Agreement on the European Economic Area'', an international agreement which enables the extension of the European Union's single market to member states of the European Free Trade Association. Gorkha Regiments (India)
Since the independence of India in 1947, as per the terms of the Britain–India–Nepal Tripartite Agreement, six Gorkha regiments, formerly part of the British Indian Army, became part of the Indian Army and have served ever since.
