Eli Ben-Menachem (; born 24 November 1947) is an Israeli former politician who served as a member of the Knesset for the Alignment, the Labor Party and One Israel between 1988 and 2006. Biography Born in Bombay, India (today Mumbai), Ben-Menachem emigrated to Israel in 1949. He studied at a military academy, and worked as an aircraft technician, eventually becoming chairman of the El Al workers' union. In 1988 he was elected to the Knesset on the Alignment list. After being re-elected in 1992 (this time on the Labor Party list), he was appointed Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office on 4 August 1992. Ehud Barak ( ; born Ehud Brog; 12 February 1942) is an Israeli former general and politician who served as the Prime Minister of Israel, prime minister from 1999 to 2001. Efraim Sneh
Ephraim Sneh (, born 19 September 1944) is an Israeli politician, physician, and a retired brigadier general in the Israel Defense Forces. He was a member of the Knesset for the Labor Party between 1992 and 2008 and served in several ministerial posts. He headed the Yisrael Hazaka party, which he established in May 2008 but failed to pass the electoral threshold in the 2009 Israeli legislative election and has been inactive since then. Efi Oshaya (; born 2 June 1956) is an Israeli politician and a former member of the Knesset for the Labor Party. Biography Oshaya was born in Israel and completed his military service with the IDF's Air Force with the rank of First Sergeant. His political activity included his election as chairman of the Histadrut in Netanya and as a member of Netanya's local council. David Libai
David Libai (; 22 October 1934 – 23 December 2023) was an Israeli jurist and politician. He was a member of the Knesset for Labor from 1984 to 1996 and served as minister of justice from 1992 to 1996. Biography David Libai was born on 22 October 1934 in Tel Aviv. Avraham Shochat
Avraham Shochat (; 14 June 1936 – 28 February 2024) was an Israeli politician who twice served as Minister of Finance. Shochat was mayor of Arad for 20 years. Biography Avraham ("Beiga") Shochat was born in Tel Aviv during the Mandate era. After serving in the Israel Defense Forces as a corporal in the Nahal paratroopers, he attended the Technion, where he gained a BSc in civil engineering. During his studies he was elected chairman of the Student Union. Shochat was married to Tama, daughter of Israeli prime minister Levi Eshkol, with whom he had three children.
