History In 1237, two villages with name Sajlovo (Hungarian: Zajol), Donje Sajlovo and Gornje Sajlovo, were mentioned to exist in this area. The original name of these settlements was Isailovo. Settlements were named after monk Isaija from nearby monastery that existed in the 12th century in the east of Rumenka. Bukovac ( sr-Cyrl, Буковац) is a suburban settlement of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is located in Petrovaradin municipality. The village has a Serb ethnic majority and its population is 3,936 (2011 census). The name The name Bukovac is thought to be derived from ''bukva'' ('beech'). The legend says that when the first settlers settled where now village's center is, there was an old beech so they named the place Bukovac upon that tree. Sremska Kamenica (Serbian Cyrillic: ''Сремска Каменица'', ) is a town and urban neighborhood of Novi Sad, in Serbia. Petrovaradin
Petrovaradin ( sr-cyr, Петроварадин, ) is a historic town in the Serbian province of Vojvodina, now a part of the city of Novi Sad. As of 2011, the urban area has 14,810 inhabitants. Lying on the right bank of the Danube, across from the main part of Novi Sad, it is built around the Petrovaradin Fortress, historical anchor of the modern city. Name Petrovaradin was founded by the Celts, but its original name is unknown. During Roman administration it was known as ''Cusum''. After the Romans conquered the region from the Celtic tribe of Scordisci, they built the Cusum fortress where present Petrovaradin Fortress now stands. In addition, the town received its name from the Byzantines, who called it ''Petrikon or Petrikov (Πετρικον)'' and who presumably named it after Saint Peter. Šangaj ( sr-cyr, Шангај) is an urban neighborhood of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia. It is situated close to the Danube, and is surrounded by the Novi Sad industrial zones, right next to the oil refinery of Naftna Industrija Srbije. It covers an area of 0.13 km². Vidovdansko Naselje ( sr, Видовданско Насеље) is an urban neighborhood of the city of Novi Sad, Serbia.
