Primeira Liga
The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it is contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division. Founded in 1934 as Campeonato da Liga da Primeira Divisão, it was named Campeonato Nacional da Primeira Divisão from 1938 until 1999, when it was changed to its current naming. Over 70 teams have competed in the Primeira Liga, but only five have been crowned champions. Rafik Halliche
Rafik Halliche ( ar, رفيق حليش; born 2 September 1986) is an Algerian former professional footballer who played as a central defender. He started playing in 2005 with Hussein Dey, going on to spend the vast majority of his career in Portugal. He also had abroad spells in England with Fulham and in Qatar. An Algerian international since 2008, Halliche represented the nation in two World Cups and four Africa Cup of Nations, winning the 2019 edition of the latter tournament. El Arabi Hilal Soudani ( ar, العربي هلال سوداني; born 25 November 1987) is an Algerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Damac and the Algeria national team. Islam Slimani ( ar, إسلام سليماني; born 18 June 1988) is an Algerian professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Brest and the Algeria national team. Slimani began his career in his homeland with JSM Chéraga and CR Belouizdad. In 2013, he moved to Europe, signing for Sporting CP. Djamel Menad ( ar, جمال مناد; born 22 July 1960) is an Algerian retired professional footballer, who played as a forward and who manages USM El Harrach. Club career Born in El Bayadh, Menad started his playing career with CR Belouizdad, before moving to JS Kabylie.
