AIMIA was an association for the digital media industry in Australia from 1992 to 2015. The name derives from the acronym of its original name, the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association, which fell out of use in favour of the acronym. The Iverson Award, more formally the Kenneth E. Iverson Award for Outstanding Contribution to APL, is presented by the Special Interest Group on APL (SIGAPL) of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). It is presented to a person who has made significant contributions to the APL programming language or to the APL community. These contributions may be Technical (i.e. new developments in the APL language itself) or Service (assistance or support to SIGAPL or the APL community generally). Software Process Achievement Award
The Software Process Achievement Award is a non-competitive award offered by the IEEE Computer Society and Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and annually presented for outstanding and innovative contributions to the field of software quality. Award recipients receive an engraved commemorative plaque and make several presentations at appropriate practitioner and researcher community events. Award recipients also produce an SEI Technical Report describing their accomplishments, experiences, and lessons learned. The Shareware Industry Awards were a series of awards issued annually by the Shareware Industry Awards Foundation during the Software Industry Conference. Origin of the Shareware Industry Award The Software Industry Conference website notes: "The Shareware Industry Awards were conceived by Michael Callahan aka Dr. File Finder at the time of the first shareware conference – as a means to focus attention on the shareware industry.
