Animation is a method by which still figures are manipulated to appear as moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. Today, most animations are made with computer-generated imagery (CGI). Computer animation can be very detailed 3D animation, while 2D computer animation (which may have the look of traditional animation) can be used for stylistic reasons, low bandwidth, or faster real-time renderings. ''Sonic the Hedgehog 2'' is a 2022 action-adventure comedy film based on the video game series published by Sega, and the sequel to ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' (2020). Directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, the film stars Ben Schwartz, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally and Lee Majdoub reprising their roles with Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Idris Elba and Shemar Moore joining the cast. Barry Jenkins (born November 19, 1979) is an American filmmaker. After making his filmmaking debut with the short film ''My Josephine'' (2003), he directed his first feature film '' Medicine for Melancholy'' (2008) for which he received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best First Feature. He is also a member of The Chopstars collective as a creative collaborator.
