Santiago Cabanas Ansorena (born 1954) is a Spanish diplomat, serving as Ambassador to the United States since 2018. Biography Born on 23 March 1954 in Madrid, Cabanas earned a licentiate degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). He joined the diplomatic career in 1981. He has served in several senior posts at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Director-General of Cultural and Scientific Relations (1996–1998), Director-General of Consular and Migratory Affairs (2010–2011), Director-General of Foreign Policy. Jorge Dezcallar De Mazarredo
Jorge Dezcallar Mazarredo (November 3, 1945) is a Spanish diplomat who served as Ambassador of Spain to the United States of America from 2008 to 2012. Having studied Law, he joined the diplomatic service in 1971. He first occupied the post of ambassador in Morocco which he held from 1997 until in 2001, when the government of José María Aznar appointed him director of the Center for Advanced Defense Information (Centro Superior de Información de la Defensa). After the 2004 general elections in June he was appointed as ambassador to the Vatican, a post which he held until 2006. He then had a short spell with Repsol as international advisor. In July 2008 the Council of Ministers appointed him ambassador to Washington and was replaced in January 2012 by Ramon Gil-Casares. Francisco Javier Rupérez Rubio (born April 24, 1941) is a Spanish politician, diplomat and writer, was born in Madrid on 24 April 1941. He holds degrees in law (1962) and journalism (1975) from the Complutense University of Madrid. Antonio de Oyarzabal y Marchesi (born 12 October 1935) is a Spanish diplomat and politician. Early life Antonio was born 12 October 1935. Antonio's father, Ignacio de Oyarzabal, was a diplomat and his parents were killed during World War II when a train they were traveling in was hit by a German bomb. José Félix De Lequerica Y Erquiza
José Félix de Lequerica y Erquiza (30 January 1891 in Bilbao, Spain – 9 June 1963) was a Spanish lawyer, diplomat and politician who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1944 and 1945. He had previously served as mayor of Bilbao between 1938 and 1939, during the Spanish Civil War. After the Nationalists won the war he was appointed ambassador to France between 1939 and 1944. He favored Nazi Germany during the Second World War, and wrote anti-Semitic reports about Prime Minister Édouard Daladier and his successor Paul Reynaud.
