This is the filmography of Vincent Price (May 27, 1911 – October 25, 1993), which includes appearances in theatre and television. Price made his theatre debut in the Gate Theatre's production of ''Chicago'' (1935), followed by work on Broadway. Under contract to Universal, Price traveled to Hollywood, making his screen debut in '' Service de Luxe'' (1938). By the 1960s, Vincent Price was working almost exclusively in the horror genre and teen film genres. ''The Invisible Man Returns'' is a 1940 American horror science fiction film directed by Joe May. The film stars Cedric Hardwicke, Vincent Price, Nan Grey and John Sutton. The film is a sequel to the 1933 film ''The Invisible Man'', and the second film in the ''Invisible Man'' film series. The film is about Sir Geoffrey Radcliffe (Price) who is condemned for a murder he did not commit, which leads to him begging Dr. Frank Griffin (Sutton) to inject him with the invisibility serum despite Griffin's warning that the serum will drive him mad. Following the commercial success of ''Son of Frankenstein'', Universal Studios announced the development of ''The Invisible Man Returns'' in March 1939. Irving Pichel (June 24, 1891 – July 13, 1954) was an American actor and film director, who won acclaim both as an actor and director in his Hollywood career. Career Pichel was born to a Jewish family in Pittsburgh. He attended Pittsburgh Central High School with George S. Kaufman. The two collaborated on a play, ''The Failure''. Pichel graduated from Harvard University in 1914 and went immediately into the theater. Pichel's first work in musical theatre was as a technical director for the theater of the San Francisco Bohemian Club; he also helped with the annual summer pageant, held at the elite Bohemian Grove, in which up to 300 of its wealthy, influential members from finance and government participate.
