List Of Christmas Number One Singles (UK)
In the United Kingdom, Christmas number ones are singles that top the UK Singles Chart in the week in which Christmas Day falls. The singles have often been novelty songs, charity songs or songs with a Christmas theme. Historically, the volume of record sales in the UK has peaked at Christmas. The Christmas number one is considered especially prestigious, more so than any other time of year. Christmas number-one singles have often also been the best-selling song of the year, though in recent years they have been released by reality television contestants and charity efforts. Due to the common practice of dating a chart by the date on which the week ends, the Christmas chart is dated the end of the week containing 25 December. The most recent Christmas number one single is "Food Aid" by LadBaby. History The UK Singles Chart began in 1952 – appearing in the ''New Musical Express''. The positions of all songs are based on weekly sales (from Sunday to Saturday until 2015, then ...

Father And Son (song)
"Father and Son" is a popular song written and performed by English singer-songwriter Cat Stevens (now known as Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens) on his 1970 album ''Tea for the Tillerman''. The song frames a heartbreaking exchange between a father not understanding a son's desire to break away and shape a new life, and the son who cannot really explain himself but knows that it is time for him to seek his own destiny. Stevens sings in a deeper register for the father's lines, while using a higher one for those of the son. Additionally, there are backing vocals provided by Stevens' guitarist and friend Alun Davies beginning mid-song, singing an unusual chorus of simple refrains. In 2021, it was listed at No. 408 on ''Rolling Stone'''s " Top 500 Best Songs of All Time". Origins Cat Stevens originally wrote "Father and Son" as part of a proposed musical project starring Nigel Hawthorne, called ''Revolussia'', that was set during the Russian Revolution, and could also have become a film; ...

A Different Beat (Boyzone Album)
''A Different Beat'' is the second studio album released by Irish boy band Boyzone on 28 October 1996 by Polydor Records. Background Like their debut album '' Said and Done'', much of the original material on the album was co-written by members of the group. After the success of their debut, the release of ''A Different Beat'' occurred on a much bigger scale. As ''Said and Done'' was never released in France, when "Love Me for a Reason" was released as the group's debut single there, it ended up being included on ''A Different Beat'', exclusively in the region. The first international single, "Words", was released pretty much worldwide, as were the two follow-up singles, " A Different Beat" and " Isn't It a Wonder". By this time, the album had been released in the UK and France, complete with each region's respective singles. However, the album had not yet been issued in Australia. Thus, by the time the release of ''A Different Beat'' arrived in the country, " Picture of You" ...
