This is a list of ''Star Wars'' species, containing the names of fictional species from the ''Star Wars'' franchise beginning with the letters P to T. ''Star Wars'' is an American epic space opera film series created by George Lucas. The first film in the series, ''Star Wars'', was released on May 25, 1977, and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon, followed by five sequels and three prequels. Many species of alien creatures (often humanoid) are depicted. Paaerduag In Galactic Basic, the Paaerduag is an "individual" formed by two symbiotic races that are joined as one. Species
In biology, a species is the basic unit of classification and a taxonomic rank of an organism, as well as a unit of biodiversity. A species is often defined as the largest group of organisms in which any two individuals of the appropriate sexes or mating types can produce fertile offspring, typically by sexual reproduction. Timothy Zahn
Timothy Zahn (born September 1, 1951) is an American writer of science fiction and fantasy. He is known best for his prolific collection of ''Star Wars'' books, chiefly the ''Thrawn'' series, and has published several other series of sci-fi and fantasy novels of his own original creation, in addition to many works of short fiction. Early life Zahn grew up in Lombard, Illinois and attended Glenbard East High School in Lombard. He then went on to Michigan State University, before working towards a doctorate in physics at the University of Illinois. Career Zahn's novella ''Cascade Point'' won the 1984 Hugo Award. The ''Thrawn'' trilogy, also known as the ''Heir to the Empire'' trilogy, is a trilogy of novels set in the ''Star Wars'' universe, written by Timothy Zahn between 1991 and 1993. The first book marked the end of what ''Star Wars'' fandom calls "The Dark Times", a notable drought of new ''Star Wars'' material during a four-year period from the tenth anniversary of the original 1977 ''Star Wars'' film's release in 1987 to the release of ''Heir to the Empire'' in 1991.
