South Africa National Rugby Union Team
The South Africa national rugby union team, commonly known as the Springboks (colloquially the Boks, Bokke or Amabokoboko), is the country's national team governed by the South African Rugby Union. The Springboks play in green and gold jerseys, with white shorts and their emblem is a native antelope, the Springbok, which is the national animal of South Africa. The team has been representing South Africa in international Rugby Union since 30 July 1891, when they played their first test match against a British Isles touring team. Canan Moodie (born 5 November 2002) is a South African professional rugby union player who currently plays for the Bulls in the URC and South Africa national team. His regular position is wing. Canan Moodie was born and raised in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa. He initially attended Paarl Boys' Primary School and then chose to board at . This allowed him to focus on rugby development, away from home. At school, he played rugby as a centre, winning a high school championship. Jack Crowley (born 13 January 2000) is an Irish rugby union player who plays as a fly-half for United Rugby Championship club Munster and the Ireland national team. Early life Born in Innishannon, County Cork, Crowley first began playing rugby with Bandon. There is a Crowley family connection with the club as Crowley's father, uncles, cousins and brothers have all played for it too. Whilst Crowley was playing for the club's under-18s side, they won the Munster Under-18 Cup and the All-Ireland Under-18 Cup, with Crowley scoring 15 points in the 20–7 win against Skerries under-18s in the latter. Luke Pearce (born 13 November 1987) is a British rugby union referee representing the Rugby Football Union. He is a regular referee in the English Premiership and has refereed games at European level and at the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Refereeing career Pearce, who grew up in Exeter, joined the Devon Referee Society in 2005 at the age of 16. He previously played rugby at junior level, being part of the Exeter Saracens Rugby Club and captained a Welsh Exiles Under-16's team.
