The Ministry of Culture of Brazil was a ministry of the Brazilian government, created on March 15, 1985 by the president José Sarney and extinct on May 12, 2016 by Michel Temer. Before 1985, the duties of the ministry were of authority of the Ministry of Education, which from 1953 to 1985 was called the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC). Ministry of Culture was responsible for the letters, arts, folklore and other forms of expression of national culture and for the historical, archaeological, artistic and cultural heritage of Brazil. After being extinct, their function was incorporated into the Ministry of Education again. There were 17 Ministers of Culture. The first was José Aparecido de Oliveira, and the last, Juca Ferreira. The Ministry of Culture of Brazil (Portuguese: Ministério da Cultura, MinC) is a cabinet-level federal ministry created in 1985, in the first month of president's José Sarney government, dissolved by Jair Bolsonaro in 2019 and reinstated by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in 2023. Dissolution and reinstatement In April 1990, it was dissolved by president Fernando Collor de Mello and transformed into a Culture Secretary, directly linked to the presidency. This situation was reverted two years later, but, in the meantime, in 1991, the law called popularly ''Lei Rouanet'' was created by the secretary of Culture, Sérgio Paulo Rouanet. It is a law that allows companies and individuals to sponsor cultural products, up to respectively 4% and 6% of their income tax. Ipojuca Pontes
Ipojuca is a municipality in Pernambuco in eastern Brazil. As of 2020 the population according to IBGE was 97,669 and the per capita income (2007) was R$76.418 (more than $23,000 US dollars) making it one of the country's highest. Fernando Henrique Cardoso (; born 18 June 1931), also known by his initials FHC (), is a Brazilian sociologist, professor and politician who served as the 34th president of Brazil from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2002.
