''Pudhaiyal'' () is a 1957 Indian Tamil-language film starring Sivaji Ganesan and Padmini. The film was released on 10 May 1957. Plot Parimalam and Durai meet and talk about how her father Kumaravadivu in Sri Lanka was implicated in her mother's murder and imprisoned. Padmini and her sister Thangam come to India, where the sister dies. It is believed that she was drowned and her body lies under the sand. ''Guru Sishyan'' (; ) is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language action comedy film directed by S. P. Muthuraman. A remake of the Hindi film ''Insaf Ki Pukar'' (1987), it stars Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Seetha and Gautami with Pandiyan, Cho Ramaswamy, Ravichandran, Radha Ravi, Senthamarai, Vinu Chakravarthy and Manorama in supporting roles. The film is about two ex-convicts who set out to prove the innocence of their wrongfully imprisoned fellow convict. Meena Panchu Arunachalam produced ''Guru Sishyan'' under the production company P. A. Art Productions. The screenplay was written by her husband Panchu Arunachalam. The cinematography was handled by T. S. Vinayagam, the editing was by R. Vittal and C. Lancy, and the art direction was by B. Chalam. The film is Gautami's debut role in Tamil cinema, and the first film in which Rajinikanth and Prabhu co-starred. ''Pushpaka Vimana'' (; a reference to ) is a 1987 Indian black comedy film written and directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, who co-produced it with Shringar Nagaraj. The film, which has no dialogue, stars Kamal Haasan leading an ensemble cast that includes Samir Khakhar, Tinu Anand, K. S. Ramesh, Amala, Farida Jalal, Pratap Potan, Lokanath, P. L. Narayana and Ramya. It revolves around an unemployed graduate who encounters a drunk rich man unconscious and takes over his lifestyle after keeping him prisoner. However, he does not realise the dangers he has brought upon himself because a hired killer believes him to be his target. Rao's desire to make a dialogue-less film came when he was working as an assistant director in a film where a character had to emote fear without dialogue in a scene. ''Thillu Mullu'' () is a 1981 Indian Tamil language, Tamil-language comedy film directed by K. Balachander and written by Visu. A remake of the 1979 Hindi film ''Gol Maal'', it stars Rajinikanth, with Thengai Srinivasan, Nagesh, Poornam Viswanathan, Sowcar Janaki, Madhavi (actress), Madhavi and Viji Chandrasekhar in supporting roles. ''Kasethan Kadavulada'' () is a 1972 Indian Tamil-language caper comedy film written and directed by Chitralaya Gopu. The film stars Muthuraman and Lakshmi, with M. R. R. Vasu, Thengai Srinivasan, Srikanth, Moorthy, Manorama, Rama Prabha and Jayakumari in supporting roles. It focuses on a young man (Muthuraman) collaborating with his cousin (Sreekanth) and friend (Srinivasan) to steal money from his stingy stepmother (Manorama). ''Madras to Pondicherry'' is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language road film, directed by Thirumalai–Mahalingam and written by Usilai Somanathan. The film stars Ravichandran and Kalpana.
