The Central Québec School Board (CQSB; french: Commission scolaire Central Québec) is an English-language school board in the province of Quebec, Canada, with its headquarters at 2046 chemin Saint-Louis, Quebec City. Laurentides
The Laurentides () is a region of Quebec. While it is often called the Laurentians in English, the region includes only part of the Laurentian mountains. It has a total land area of and its population was 589,400 inhabitants as of the 2016 Census. The area is the traditional territory of the Algonquin First Nation. French Canadians began settlement in the first half of the 19th century, establishing an agricultural presence throughout the valleys. During the 20th century, the area also became a popular tourist destination, based on a cottage and lake culture in the summer, and a downhill and cross-country ski culture in the winter. The school was established in 1944 by Abraham Brodsky and Phillip Finkel as Prep School of Montreal and in 1993 changed its name to College Prep International. Kells Academy
Kells Academy is an English-language academic high school, middle school and elementary school in Montreal, Quebec. The campuses are all located on De Maisonneuve West in Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montréal, Québec. The school offers coed programs for kindergarten to grade 12. Founded in 1978 by Irene Woods, the school is currently headed by Linda Leiberman. History Kells Academy was established in 1978 as the Westmount Learning Center by Ms. Irene Woods. It was founded as a practical application of tutoring in the classroom. The school began seeing larger enrollment numbers which ultimately led them to acquire its own building on De Maisonneuve West and Park Row West in CDN-NDG as of 1990. Selwyn House School
Selwyn House School (SHS) is an English-language Independent school, independent K-11 boys' school located in Westmount, Quebec. The school was founded in 1908 by Englishman Captain Algernon Lucas and was named in honour of Selwyn College, Cambridge, Selwyn College at the University of Cambridge, which Lucas attended. The school body currently numbers 550 students with an average class size of 15 to 20 students. Students are divided into four houses, which serve intramural athletics purposes within the primary school. The houses, named after the first four headmasters of the school, are Lucas (yellow), Macaulay (red), Wanstall (green) and Speirs (blue). The Selwyn House Gryphons have fielded strong athletic teams in recent decades and their traditional rivals in sports are Lower Canada College and Loyola High School (Montreal), Loyola High School. The Study is an English-language private education all-girls school in Westmount, Quebec. The school was founded in 1915 by a young Englishwoman named Margaret Gascoigne. The Study offers a bilingual mother tongue education to 386 students from Kindergarten to grade 11. Lower Canada College
Lower Canada College (LCC) is an English-language elementary and secondary level independent school located in Montreal, Quebec. The school offers education from Kindergarten through Grade 11. Students graduate from Grade 11 and then have the option of leaving the school and going to a Pre-University college (unique to the Quebec system) or returning to LCC for the Pre-University year. Once boys-only, LCC is now co-educational, with roughly 40 percent of the student body being female. Girls were first admitted to Grade 12 in 1992 and were phased into the other grades beginning in the 1995–96 school year. Until recently, LCC was one of the few remaining schools with a covered outdoor ice hockey rink. This has been replaced by a new athletics centre, as well as a new arena.
