Libertarian Party Of New Mexico
The Libertarian Party of New Mexico (LPNM) is a libertarian political party in New Mexico. It was affiliated with the national Libertarian Party from its founding until 2022, and is now affiliated with the Association of Liberty State Parties. Before 2022, it was a state affiliate of the Libertarian Party from the party's founding in 1972. Since 2016, it has been qualified as a major party in New Mexico. In 2018, it became the first Libertarian Party affiliate to have a statewide officeholder when Public Lands Commissioner Aubrey Dunn Jr. switched his partisan affiliation from Republican to Libertarian. Toney Anaya
Toney Anaya (born April 29, 1941) is an American politician and attorney who served as the 26th governor of New Mexico from 1983 to 1987. Early life and career Anaya was born on in Moriarty, New Mexico. He earned a Bacheor of Arts degree from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor from American University's Washington College of Law in 1967. Career After returning to New Mexico, Anaya worked as a Santa Fe County attorney and assistant district attorney for the First Judicial District. Roger Lea MacBride (August 6, 1929 – March 5, 1995) was an American lawyer, political figure, writer, and television producer. He was the presidential nominee of the Libertarian Party in the 1976 election. The 1976 United States presidential election in New Mexico took place on November 2, 1976. All fifty states and The District of Columbia were part of the 1976 United States presidential election. Anthony is a city in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 9,360 at the 2010 census. The 2018 New Mexico gubernatorial election took place on November 6, 2018, to elect the next Governor of New Mexico, concurrently with the election of New Mexico's Class I U.S. Senate seat, as well as other elections to the United States Senate in other states, elections to the United States House of Representatives and various local elections.
