Raymond H. Lapin (13 February 1919 – 2 April 1986) was an American mortgage banking executive known as the father of the secondary mortgage market. He served under President Lyndon B. Johnson as creator and first president of the Government National Mortgage Association (GINNIE MAE) and the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) from 1967 to 1969. Lapin earned his bachelor's degree from University of California at Berkeley in 1942 and MBA from University of Chicago in 1954. He founded Bankers Mortgage Co. in 1954, which was sold to Transamerica Corporation in 1963. Suzuki Lapin
The Suzuki Lapin is a kei car with a five-door hatchback body, manufactured since 2002 by Suzuki for the Japanese market only, and was also marketed in Japan only by Mazda as Mazda Spiano under an OEM agreement through their Autozam stores until 2008. It is based on Suzuki's popular Alto kei car. The Lapin has a very distinctive, boxy shape, that apparently proved popular with female buyers. The name "Lapin" stems from the French word for "rabbit", and the car sports rabbit-head badges. The Mazda version has differences concerning some styling details, including a different front end. Ginta Lapiņa (born 30 June 1989) is a Latvian fashion model. Career Lapiņa was born in Riga, and raised in Aizkraukles and began her modeling career in 2005, after being scouted in Riga by Nils Raumanis, and after placed with MC2 Model Management in New York City. Her first modeling job was for teen clothing brand dElia*s and her runway debut was at the Spring 2008 New York Fashion Week in the Benjamin Cho show. In 2008 she signed with the Women Management modeling agency. Sergey Georgiyevich Lapin (russian: Серге́й Георгиевич Лапин) ( – 4 October 1990) was a Soviet apparatchik, newspaper editor and diplomat. Lapin was born in Saint Petersburg. From 1930 to 1932 he studied at the Leningrad Historical Language Institute, and after graduating he went on to work in various positions, including deputy editor, of various Leningrad newspapers until 1940. From 1940 to 1942 he was a student at the Higher Party School of the All-Union Communist Party (bolsheviks). From 1945 to 1953 he was Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Broadcasting, when in 1953 he began a career in diplomacy as Counsellor at the Embassy of the Soviet Union in East Germany. In 1955 he returned to Moscow to work in the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whilst also holding the position of Secretary of the CPSU at the MFA.
