Langenes or Langeneset is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the northeastern side of the island of Vågsøy on the shore of the Sildegapet bay. It is about east of the villages of Vedvika and Refvika. The larger village of Raudeberg is located about to the south. The small island of Silda is located about east of Langeneset. Vestland
Vestland is a county in Norway established on 1 January 2020. The county is located in Western Norway and it is centred around the city of Bergen, Norway's second largest city. The administrative centre of the county is the city of Bergen, where the executive and political leadership is based, but the County Governor is based in Hermansverk. The county is one of two counties in Norway that have Nynorsk as their official written language form (the others are neutral as to which form people use). Vågsøy (island)
Vågsøy is an island in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies on the northern side of the mouth of the Nordfjorden, the sixth longest fjord in Norway. The Stadlandet peninsula lies to the north of the island, the islands of Silda and Barmøya and the mainland lie to the east of the island, the island of Husevågøy lies to the south (in the middle of the mouth of the Nordfjorden), and the open ocean lies to the west. Since the island lies along the open ocean, which can be rough, there are several lighthouses along the coastline of the island including: Hendanes Lighthouse, Kråkenes Lighthouse, and Skongenes Lighthouse. The highest point on the island is the tall ''Veten''. The island is connected to the mainland by the Måløy Bridge. The main population centre on the island is the town of Måløy, which is also the administrative centre for the municipality. Skongenes Lighthouse
Skongenes Lighthouse ( no, Skongenes fyr) is a coastal lighthouse located in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The lighthouse is located on the northern tip of the island of Vågsøy. History It was first lit in 1870 and automated in 1985. The lighthouse is owned by the Norwegian Coastal Administration, and is run as tourist cabin by Ytre Nordfjord Turlag. The tall square wood tower is painted white with a red top. There is a -story wood keeper's house located nearby. The light can be seen for up to and it emits a white, red, or green light, depending on direction, occulting twice every 8 seconds. Silda is an island in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island is located northeast of the large island of Vågsøy (island), Vågsøy in the Sildagapet bay and about west of the island of Barmøya. Silda sits about east of the small village of Langenes, Sogn og Fjordane, Langenes and about northeast of Raudeberg, both on the island of Vågsøy (island), Vågsøy. Raudeberg
Raudeberg is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the east side of the island of Vågsøy. The villages of Refvika, Vedvika, and Langeneset are located a few kilometers to the north, and the town of Måløy is about to the south. The island of Silda is located about offshore to the northeast of the village of Raudeberg. Nord-Vågsøy Church is located on the eastern edge of the village, right along the coast. Raudeberg (historically spelled ''Rødberg'') was the administrative centre of the former municipality of Nord-Vågsøy, which existed from 1910 until 1964. Refvika
Refvik or Refvika is a village in Kinn Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the north side of the island of Vågsøy, about northwest of the village of Raudeberg, south of Vedvika, and southwest of Langenes.
