''La otra alcoba'' ( en, The other bedroom) is a 1976 Spanish film written and directed by Eloy de la Iglesia. It stars Patxi Andión, Amparo Muñoz and Simón Andreu. The plot follows the beautiful wife of a prosperous business man who starts an affair with a man of a humble background in order to have the child that she cannot have with her sterile husband. The film was shot in Madrid and Navacerrada. Plot Marcos, an important businessman working in Madrid, is wealthy, ambitious and has political aspirations. Eloy De La Iglesia
Eloy de la Iglesia (1 January 1944 – 23 March 2006) was a Spanish screenwriter and film director. De la Iglesia was an outspoken gay socialist filmmaker who is relatively unknown outside Spain despite a prolific and successful career in his native country. He is best remembered for having portrayed urban marginality and the world of drugs and juvenile delinquency, with many of his films dealing with the theme of homosexuality. Part of his work is closely related to the phenomenon popularly known in Spain as quinqui films, to which he contributed several works. De la Iglesia took risk in his films that captured the struggles of the underclass, portraying the everyday, unidealized lives of powerless characters portrayed genuinely with flaws and vices. Francisco "Patxi" Andión González (6 October 1947 – 18 December 2019) was a Spanish singer-songwriter, musician and actor. Biography Patxi Andión was born to Basque parents in Madrid in 1947 and lived part of his childhood in the Basque town of Azpeitia. His political beliefs led him to seek exile in Paris, where he took part in the May 68 protests and where he subsequently embarked on his musical career. Amparo Muñoz
Amparo Muñoz Quesada ( Vélez-Málaga, 21 June 1954 – Málaga, 27 February 2011) was a Spanish actress, model and beauty queen who won the Miss Universe 1974 competition in Manila, Philippines, being the first and only Spaniard titleholder in this line of pageants. Muñoz surrendered both the title and crown after six months due to refusal to follow organizational regulations. During that time, no successor was willing nor assigned to officially take her vacated placement.
