Luigi Datome
Luigi "Gigi" Datome (born 27 November 1987) is an Italian former professional basketball player. Standing at , he played at the small forward and power forward (basketball), power forward positions. Datome was an All-EuroLeague Team, All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in 2015–16 Euroleague, 2016. Professional career Early years Born in Montebelluna to Sardinian parents from Olbia, Datome moved to Olbia in Sardinia, where he started playing junior basketball. He joined Mens Sana 1871 Basket, Montepaschi Siena of the first division Lega Basket Serie A, Serie A in 2003. He played three and a half seasons for Montepaschi before joining Scafati Basket in February 2007. The Italian Basketball Cup (Italian: Coppa Italiana di Pallacanestro), or Coppa Italia, is an annual professional basketball competition between pro clubs from the Italian Basketball League (LBA). It is Italy's first-tier cup competition, and is not to be confused with Italy's second-tier cup competition, the Italian Legadue Cup.
