Forrest County Agricultural High School (FCAHS) is a public high school located in Brooklyn, in unincorporated Forrest County, Mississippi, United States. The school provides education to grades 9 12. Forrest County AHS is the only independently functioning agricultural high school in the state of Mississippi. An independent school board operates FCAHS, which has its own farm and ranch. Those affiliated with the school are known as "Aggies." Hinds County Agricultural High School
Hinds County Agricultural High School or Hinds Agricultural High School (HAHS) was a public secondary school in unincorporated Hinds County, Mississippi, United States, south of Utica. It was located on the Utica campus of Hinds Community College until its 2014 closure. Hinds County AHS was one of three independently functioning agricultural high schools in the state of Mississippi. The community college district operated the high school. History In 2012 the Mississippi Board of Education published a report recommending the closure of Hinds AHS. Augenblick, Palaich and Associates, the report's author, stated that enrollment was declining at Hinds, that it had among the lowest levels of academic performance, and that it no longer had a focus on agriculture. The Clinton Public School District is a public school district based in Clinton, Mississippi (USA). The district serves over 5,100 students. It includes almost all of Clinton and a small section of northwest Jackson. History School segregation in the district ended in 1970. Pass Christian School District
The Pass Christian Public School District is a public school district based in Pass Christian, Mississippi (U.S.). The superintendent of the district is Carla J. Evers. Schools : Impact of Hurricane Katrina The August 29, 2005 landfall of Hurricane Katrina a few miles west of Pass Christian severely impacted the district. Pass Christian Middle School was completely destroyed. Pass Christian Elementary School flooded and grew mold over a few months and was not salvageable. The high school and administration building were severely damaged, and Delisle Elementary School, inland, was lightly damaged. On October 17, 2005, the schools reopened, with approximately 2/3s of the students, in temporary trailers at the Delisle site.
