List Of Pump Action Rifles
A pump action rifle is a rifle where the forend can be moved forward and backward in order to eject a spent round of ammunition and to chamber a new one. Pump-action mechanisms are often regarded as faster than a bolt action and somewhat faster than a lever action, as it does not require the trigger hand to be removed from the trigger while reloading. Most pump actions do, however, have a firing mechanism using a hammer, which leads to a longer lock time than the hammer-less mechanisms found on most bolt rifles. Pump Action
Pump action is a type of manual firearm action that is operated by moving a sliding handguard on the gun's forestock. When shooting, the sliding forend is pulled rearward to eject any expended cartridge and typically to cock the hammer or striker, and then pushed forward to load a new cartridge into the chamber. Most pump-action firearms use an integral tubular magazine, although some do use detachable box magazines. Pump-action firearms are typically associated with shotguns, although it has also been used in rifles, grenade launchers, and other types of firearms. A firearm using this operating mechanism is colloquially referred to as a pumpgun. The Remington Model 760 Gamemaster is a pump-action, centerfire rifle made by Remington Arms from 1952 to 1981. The Model 760 replaced the Model 141 in the product lineup. Being fed by a box magazine freed the design to use more powerful rounds with spitzer bullets. It was succeeded by the Remington Model 7600 series. Design Following World War II, many of Remington's pre-war firearms resumed production. This created a dilemma for the company as it had produced martial arms during the war. Production of military arms had forced manufacturers to streamline production and use more economical methods and materials that were not adaptable to most earlier designs. FN Trombone
The FN Browning Trombone is a pump-action long takedown rifle designed by John M. Browning in 1919. It was produced by FN Herstal, who made a total of 150,000 from 1922 to 1974. It was imported into the U.S. by Browning Arms. Models manufactured post 1969 had a product code W.
