Vicente Gullas
Vicente Arandia Gullas (January 12, 1888 – December 22, 1970) was a Filipino writer, lawyer, and educator from Cebu, Philippines. Founder of the Visayan Institute, he introduced innovation in educational system through the establishment of working student and study-now-pay-later schemes and of satellite schools to allow students from locations outside Cebu City. In 2019, he was hailed as one of the top 100 Cebuano personalities. As a writer, he published three editions of the English-Cebuano-Spanish dictionary, wrote poems that were printed in the Cebuano periodical, ''Ang Suga,'' and published the 1938 historical fiction, ''Lapu-lapu: Ang Nagbuntog Kang Magellan (Lapu-lapu: The Conqueror of Magellan),'' which was republished in 2007. Vicente Garces
Vicente Hermosa Garces, also known as Vicente Garces and Nyor Inting, was a Filipino Visayan politician, writer, and poet. His famous written works in Cebuano were published in Visayan newspaper, '' Bag-ong Kusog''. He also served as mayor in the then municipality of Talisay, Cebu, Philippines from 1925 to 1937. Lina Espina-Moore (born Austregelina Espina) (May 20, 1919 – 2000) was a Cebuano writer. She was a recipient of the S.E.A. Write Award. Biography She was born in Toledo, Cebu, the fifth child and second daughter of Yrinea Regner and Gerundio Espina. Adonis Durado
Adonis Durado is a Filipino poet, visual journalist, and graphic designer of Cebuano descent. His poetry collection "Who Steps Upon is Stepped Upon" was awarded the 2023 Philippine National Book Awards. He was born in 1975 in Cebu City, Philippines.
