The Mayor of Arezzo is an elected politician who, along with the Arezzo's City Council, is accountable for the strategic government of Arezzo in Tuscany, Italy. The current Mayor is Alessandro Ghinelli, a centre-right independent, who took office on 16 June 2015. Antonio Curina
Antonio Curina (11 April 1898 β 20 November 1974) was an Italian politician. He was member of the Action Party and served as Mayor of Arezzo from 1944 to 1946. Biography Antonio Curina was born in Pietralunga in 1898. He was the founder and president of the National Liberation Committee of Arezzo in 1943 and was appointed mayor of Arezzo in 1944 by the prefect. He served as municipal councillor in the first legislature of the Arezzo's City Council from 1946 to 1951. He also served as president of the provincial committee of the National Association of the Italian Partisans. He died in Fiesole in 1974 at the age of 76. Giuseppe Fanfani (born 19 April 1947 in Sansepolcro) is an Italian politician and lawyer. Giuseppe is Amintore Fanfani's nephew. He joined the Italian People's Party after the dissolution of the Christian Democracy in 1994. Fanfani was elected at the 2001 Italian general election, serving as member of the Chamber of Deputies for the XIV Legislature. He joined the Democratic Party in 2007. Fanfani was elected Mayor of Arezzo on 30 May 2006 and re-elected for a second term on 19 May 2011. He resigned in September 2014 after his election at the High Council of the Judiciary. Luigi Lucherini (6 January 1930 β 9 August 2022) was an Italian politician and engineer. He was member of the Forza Italia party. He has served as Mayor of Arezzo from 1999 to 2006. The Italian Socialist Party (, PSI) was a socialist and later social-democratic political party in Italy, whose history stretched for longer than a century, making it one of the longest-living parties of the country. Founded in Genoa in 1892, the PSI dominated the Italian left until after World War II, when it was eclipsed in status by the Italian Communist Party.
