Kodiak, Alaska

Outer Coast College
Outer Coast is a small, private, liberal arts postsecondary education institution in development in Sitka, Alaska. It is currently in the accreditation process with the plan to open a two-year undergraduate program in the fall of 2024. Outer Coast will admit a freshman class of about 20 students in 2024 and a similar number the following year, for a total student body of 40. History After Sheldon Jackson College closed in 2007, the title to the campus was transferred to the Sitka Fine Arts Camp in February 2011. In the summer of 2014, Alaska state representative Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins began deliberating with alumni, teachers and students of Deep Springs College about the possibility of founding a new college on the historic campus in partnership with the Fine Arts Camp. Prince William Sound College
Prince William Sound College (formerly Prince William Sound Community College and also known as PWSC and P-DUB) is a college located at 303 Lowe St. in Valdez, Alaska. PWSC comprises one main campus in Valdez and extension campuses in Glennallen and Cordova. The college is part of the University of Alaska Anchorage under the aegis of the University of Alaska System. PWSC serves approximately 44,000 sq. mi., about the area of Ohio. Around 1,000 local, rural, and out-of-state students attend the college either face-to-face, through ITV classrooms or via Blackboard. There is no out-of-state tuition. Soldotna is a city in the Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. At the 2020 census, the population was 4,342, up from 4,163 in 2010. It is the seat of the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
