Radio Repeater
A radio repeater is a combination of a radio receiver and a radio transmitter that receives a signal and retransmits it, so that two-way radio signals can cover longer distances. A repeater sited at a high elevation can allow two mobile stations, otherwise out of line-of-sight propagation range of each other, to communicate. Repeaters are found in professional, commercial, and government mobile radio systems and also in amateur radio. Repeater systems use two different radio frequencies; the mobiles transmit on one frequency, and the repeater station receives those transmission and transmits on a second frequency. Since the repeater must transmit at the same time as the signal is being received, and may even use the same antenna for both transmitting and receiving, frequency-selective filters are required to prevent the receiver from being overloaded by the transmitted signal. Funkturm Berlin
The Berliner Funkturm or Funkturm Berlin (Berlin Radio Tower) is a former broadcasting tower in Berlin. Constructed between 1924 and 1926 to designs by the architect Heinrich Straumer, it was inaugurated on 3 September 1926, on the occasion of the opening of the third Große Deutsche Funkausstellung (Great German Radio Exhibition) in the grounds of the Messe Berlin trade fair in the borough of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Nicknamed ''der lange Lulatsch'' ("the lanky lad"), the tower is one of the best-known points of interest in the city of Berlin and, while no longer used for broadcasting purposes, it remains a protected monument. Olympiaturm
The Olympic Tower (German: ) in the Olympic Park, Munich has an overall height of and a weight of 52,500 tons. At a height of there is an observation platform as well as an exhibition commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Tower. Previously in that space was a small rock and roll museum housing various memorabilia. Since its opening in 1968, the tower has registered over 43 million visitors (as of 2018). Mittagberg
The Mittagberg ("Midday Mountain") is a mountain located in the Allgäu Alps in Bavaria, Germany. Located just south of Immenstadt, this mountain is part of the Nagelfluh Chain, and eponymous nature park. Its vertical separation is at least 31 metres,Exact value unknown. Given value is a minimum (it could be up to 19 metres higher). Melibokus
The Melibokus (also ''Melibocus'', ''Malchen'' or ''Malschen'') is at 517 metres (1696 feet), the highest hill in the Bergstraße region of southern Hesse, central Germany. It was also the name of a hill in Germania described by classical sources. But the two are probably not the same. Melibokus overlooks the Rhine valley on the western fringe of the Odenwald region and is a local landmark, clearly visible for many miles. On the summit there is a small cafe, a public lookout tower and a US Army radio mast erected on the site of a previous stone tower, destroyed during World War II. The hill is accessible from Zwingenberg/Bergstrasse by foot. The "Nibelungensteig" hill trail leads you from the railway station in Zwingenberg towards the east. Köterberg
The Köterberg, at above sea level, is the highest hill in the Lippe Uplands and lies on the state border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony in North Germany. On its northern slopes is the village of Köterberg. Geography The Köterberg is located in the centre of the Weser Uplands, towering high above the surrounding land northwest of the town of Höxter and south-southeast of Lügde within whose municipal area its summit lies. Its peak and much of the crest lie within North Rhine-Westphalia. Only a very narrow tongue of land belongs to Lower Saxony, albeit reaching to the summit with its lower reaches lying mainly within the valley of a stream. Hünenburg Telecommunication Tower
Hünenburg Telecommunication Tower is a 164 metre telecommunication tower of Deutsche Telekom AG on Hüneburg near Bielefeld in Germany It is a concrete tower of FMT 3/72 type. It is closed to the public. The tower was built in 1972 as replacement for a smaller telecommunication tower, built in 1952. The old tower was converted into an observation tower, removing the antenna decks and installing intermediate ceilings. It is now called the Hünenburg Observation Tower and houses a museum and restaurant. An equipment room is located in the telecommunications tower 40 metres above ground with a volume of 2500 cubic metres. Hörnli
Hörnli mountain is located on the territory of the community of Fischenthal, in the Zürcher Oberland, in the eastern part of canton of Zürich, in Switzerland. It is high. Hohneck (Vosges)
The Hohneck is, at the third highest summit of the Vosges Mountains (after Grand Ballon [] and Storkenkopf []) and the highest point of Lorraine (region), Lorraine. On its summit stands a mountain hut, clearly visible in the distance. Nearby the mountain's top is located the ski resort of ''La Bresse Hohneck''. Heubach Telecommunication Tower
Heubach Telecommunication Tower is a 162 metre tall telecommunication tower of Deutsche Telekom AG on Glasenberg at Heubach in Baden-Württemberg. It is used for directional radio, mobile radio, police and fire brigade radio also used for FM- and TV transmission. Heubach Telecommunication Tower is equipped with an observation deck in a height of 25 metres, which is accessible for tourists by a stairway with 139 steps.
