List Of Salticidae Genera
The genera of the family Salticidae listed here are those that are extant and accepted by the World Spider Catalog . Assignment to subfamilies and clades is based on Maddison (2015), except where otherwise shown. Unless sources indicate otherwise, genera that were split after 2015 are given the same placements as the original genera listed in Maddison (2015). Jumping Spider
Jumping spiders are a group of spiders that constitute the family (biology), family Salticidae. , this family contained over 600 species description, described genus, genera and over 6,000 described species, making it the largest family of spiderscomprising 13% of spider species. Jumping spiders have some of the best visual perception, vision among arthropods — being capable of stereoptic color vision — and use sight in courtship, hunting, and navigation. Although they normally move unobtrusively and fairly slowly, most species are capable of very agile jumps, notably when hunting, but sometimes in response to sudden threats or crossing long gaps. Both their book lungs and Invertebrate trachea, tracheal system are well-developed, and they use both systems (bimodal breathing). Jumping spiders are generally recognized by their eye pattern. All jumping spiders have four pairs of eyes, with the Anatomical terms of location, anterior median pair (the two front middle eyes) being pa ...

Lapsias
''Lapsias'' is a spider genus (biology), genus of the jumping spider family, Salticidae. Phylogeny ''Lapsias'', ''Galianora'' and ''Thrandina'' are informally classified as "lapsiines". These are believed to be basal (phylogenetics), basal jumping spiders. While ''Galianora'' and ''Thrandina'' are sister genera, it is not certain if they form a clade with ''Lapsias'', or if the common characteristics are symplesiomorphic.Wayne Maddison, Maddison 2006a Description ''Lapsias lorax'' is typical of the genus, with large eyes and prominent male palps. There is a short video of ''Lapsias lorax'', showing typical jumping spider behavior.Wayne Maddison, Beaty Biodiversity Museum http://vimeo.com/50697273. Retrieved January 27, 2014 Species , the World Spider Catalog accepted 12 species: * ''Lapsias canandea'' Wayne Maddison, Maddison, 2012 – Ecuador * ''Lapsias ciliatus'' Simon, 1900 – Venezuela * ''Lapsias cyrboides'' Simon, 1900 – Venezuela * ''Lapsias estebanensis'' Simon, 190 ...

Holcolaetis
''Holcolaetis'' is a genus of the spider family Salticidae (jumping spiders). Like ''Euryattus'' and ''Thiania bhamoensis'', these spiders build a flat, densely woven egg sac that is not contiguous with the silk of the nest. ''Holcolaetis'' posits the egg sac on the trunks of trees.Li ''et al.'' 2002 Species * ''Holcolaetis albobarbata'' Simon, 1910 – West Africa, West, Central Africa * ''Holcolaetis clarki'' Fred R. Galianora
''Galianora'' is a genus of Ecuadorian Salticidae, jumping spiders that was first described by Wayne Maddison, Wayne Paul Maddison in 2006. it contains only two species, found only in Ecuador: ''Galianora bryicola, G. bryicola'' and ''Galianora sacha, G. sacha''. The two described species have quite a different body form: ''G. sacha'' is elongate and pale, with raptorial front legs, while ''G. bryicola'' is compact and brown. An as-yet undescribed species from Venezuela is intermediate in body form and pedipalp, palp. It is named in honor of arachnologist María Elena Galiano. References
