Pocket PC
A Pocket PC (P/PC, PPC) is a class of personal digital assistant (PDA) that runs the Windows Mobile operating system, which is based on Windows Embedded Compact, Windows CE/Windows Embedded Compact, and that has some of the abilities of modern desktop IBM PC compatible, PCs. The name was introduced by Microsoft in 2000 as a rebranding of the Palm-size PC category and was marketed until 2007. Some of these devices also had Smartphone, integrated phone and data capabilities, which were called Pocket PC Phone Edition. Windows "Windows Mobile Smartphone, Smartphone" is another Windows CE based platform for non-touch and non-PDA devices. CDMA
Code-division multiple access (CDMA) is a channel access method used by various radio communication technologies. CDMA is an example of multiple access, where several transmitters can send information simultaneously over a single communication channel. This allows several users to share a band of frequencies (see bandwidth). To permit this without undue interference between the users, CDMA employs spread spectrum technology and a special coding scheme (where each transmitter is assigned a code). CDMA optimizes the use of available bandwidth as it transmits over the entire frequency range and does not limit the user's frequency range. It is used as the access method in many mobile phone standards. The Asus P535 is a high performance Pocket PC(PPC) that was designed for business managers. It was launched by ASUSTeK Computer Inc. in November, 2006. At first, the Asus P535 ran with Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. However, it is upgradable to Windows Mobile 6.5. Network & Communication For connectivity, the Asus P535 uses a 2G tri-band ( GSM900/1800/1900 MHz) network, so 3G and Edge are not supported. However this device still can connect by WLAN (WiFi 802.11b+g). Processor and Memory The Asus P535 uses Intel Xscale® 520-MHz CPU, which was leading CPU-chip set in 2006.
