Gossamer (Looney Tunes)
Gossamer is an animated character in the Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons. He is a large, hairy, orange or red monster. His body is perched on two giant tennis shoes, and his heart-shaped face is composed of only two oval eyes and a wide mouth, with two hulking arms ending in dirty, clawed fingers. The monster's main trait is his uncombed, orange hair. He originally was voiced by Mel Blanc and has been voiced by Frank Welker, Maurice LaMarche, Joe Alaskey, Jim Cummings, Kwesi Boakye, Eric Bauza and currently Fred Tatasciore. The word ''gossamer'' means any sort of thin, fragile, transparent material. In particular, it can refer to a kind of delicate, sheer gauze or a light cobweb. Granny (Looney Tunes)
Granny, whose full name is presented as Emma Webster, is a fictional character created by Friz Freleng, best known from the ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' animated short films of the 1950s and 1960s. She is the owner of Tweety Bird and, more often than not, Sylvester and Hector. Her voice was first provided by Bea Benaderet from 1950 through 1955, then by June Foray for almost 60 years. Following Foray's death, Candi Milo took over in 2017. Biography Granny is a good-natured widow who is extremely protective of her beloved bird, Tweety. Granny's overprotectiveness becomes apparent whenever Tweety is threatened, usually by her sometimes pet, Sylvester. The Tasmanian Devil (also spelled Tazmanian Devil), commonly referred to as "Taz", is an animated cartoon character featured in the Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons. Though the character appeared in only five shorts before Warner Bros. Cartoons shut down in 1964, marketing and television appearances later propelled Taz to new popularity throughout the 1990s. Personality Taz is generally portrayed as a ferocious, albeit dim-witted, carnivore with a notoriously short temper and little patience. In the short ''Ducking the Devil,'' he is described as a "vicious, evil-tempered brute with jaws like a steel trap". Though he can be very devious, he is also sweet at times.
