CBBC
CBBC (initialised as Children's BBC and also known as the CBBC Channel) is a British free-to-air Public service broadcasting in the United Kingdom, public broadcast children's television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It is also the brand used for all BBC content for children aged 7–16. Its sister channel CBeebies broadcasts programming and content for children aged under 7. It broadcasts every day from 7am to 7pm (7am to 9pm from 11 April 2016 to 4 January 2022), timesharing with BBC Three. History Launched on 11 February 2002 alongside its sister channel, CBeebies, which serves the under 6 audience, the name was previously used to brand all BBC Children's and Education, BBC Children's content carried on BBC One and BBC Two. Chris Jarvis (presenter)
Martin Christopher Jarvis (born 20 April 1969) is an English actor, presenter and writer who has appeared mainly on children's television for the BBC since 1992, apart from 2000–2002 when he was working with ITV and Channel 4. In 2019 he started a radio station for children called Little Radio. Career Early career Jarvis made his name in the early 1990s on Children's BBC, presenting from the "Broom Cupboard" alongside Zoe Ball and Josie d'Arby as well as hosting his own shows like ''Look Sharp''. Chris wrote a lot of material for Children's BBC himself (including the mini soap opera ''Wood Lane TV'') and created several memorable characters including "The Anorak". Ana Boulter (born 29 April 1976) is a British television presenter. Stephen John Wilson (born 19 September 1974 in Croydon, Greater London), is a British television presenter and author, best known for presenting ITV's This Morning programme, as well as CBBC and Live & Kicking in 1999 and 2000. Richard McCourt
Richard "Dick" McCourt (born 12 August 1976) is an English entertainer and presenter. He is best known as one half of the comic duo Dick and Dom, with the other being Dominic Wood. His older brother is fellow television presenter James McCourt. Education McCourt was educated at Tapton School, a state comprehensive in Sheffield. At Norton College, building on his experience as a volunteer at Sheffield's hospital radio station, he studied audio, video and print media, receiving the BTEC National Diploma in media production in 1994. Television McCourt gained his experience in Sheffield presenting Hospital Television and local television throughout the early '90s. Dominic Wood
Dominic Simon "Dom" Wood (born 3 January 1978) is an English entertainer, magician and presenter of radio and television, best known as one half of the double act Dick and Dom, with the other being Richard McCourt. From 14 October 2007 to September 2008, he and work partner McCourt presented the Sunday morning show on BBC Radio 1 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, but later left the show due to TV commitments. Magic career Wood was at one point the youngest member of the magician's society The Magic Circle. Kirsten O'Brien
Kirsten Lindsey O'Brien (born 23 February 1972) is an English television presenter and actress. She is perhaps best known for her work presenting for the BBC, including the popular CBBC art programme '' SMart'' from 1999 to 2009, and CBeebies pre-school art spin-off programme '' SMarteenies'' in 2002. Career O'Brien studied media and communications at the University of Central England in Birmingham, graduating in 1993. She got her first broadcast experience on the university's student radio station which led to her first job in 1995 at Tyne Tees Television where she made her presenting debut on a children's science programme. Gail Porter
Gail Porter (born 23 March 1971) is a Scottish television personality, former model and actress. She started her television career in children's TV, before branching out into modelling and presenting mainstream TV. In the 1990s, she famously posed nude for '' FHM'', which was projected on to the Houses of Parliament. Later in her career, Porter has been affected by alopecia, a condition which causes hair loss. Grant Stott (born 13 May 1967) is a Scottish broadcaster from Edinburgh. He formerly worked as a DJ on Edinburgh radio station Forth 1 until January 2017.
