Fazlur Rahman Khan (, ''Fazlur Rôhman Khan''; 3 April 1929 – 27 March 1982) was a Bangladeshi-American structural engineer and architect, who initiated important structural systems for skyscrapers. Considered the "father of Tube (structure), tubular designs" for high-rises, Khan was also a pioneer in computer-aided design (CAD). Iqbal Mahmud (born 8 March 1940) is a Bangladeshi educator. He served as the 7th vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). And he is a former vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2005 by the government of Bangladesh for his contribution to education. Early life and education Mahmud was born in Ramna, Dhaka on 8 March 1940. Jamilur Reza Choudhury
Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury (15 November 1942 – 28 April 2020) was a Bangladeshi civil engineer, professor, researcher, and education advocate. He was an Adviser (Minister) to Caretaker Government of Bangladesh (April–June 1996). He was the first vice chancellor of BRAC University and former vice chancellor of University of Asia Pacific. He was also the president of Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad Committee from 2003. He was awarded Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh in the category of science and technology in 2017. Khondkar Siddique-e-Rabbani (; born 9 May 1950) is a Bangladeshi Biomedical physicist and notable for developing the Focused Impedance Measurement method. In 2008, he was awarded the ''Academy Gold Medal'' by Bangladesh Academy of Sciences for his contribution to physical sciences in Bangladesh.
