Liisu Mägi
Liisu Mägi, also known as Puru Liisu and Laulu-Liisu, (16 December 1831 – 17 January 1926) was an Estonian folk singer and wedding singer in Mulgimaa and Southern Viljandi County. She was also known for creating or writing down thousands of local folk songs of life, death, war and epic events. Biography According to some accounts, Liisu was born on 16 December 1831, in the Kutsiku tavern in Holstre parish.  According to other sources, she was born on 16 December 1833 and died on 17 January 1926. Liisu Mägi lived and worked mainly in Paistu Parish, Paistu parish, Viljandi County, Mulgimaa in Estonia. Liisu Mägi's biography and many songs were written down by Oskar Loorits, who went to the Holstre area to collect folklore, and whose manuscript ''Folk songs, games and words from Puru Liisult Holstret'' was written in December 1921. Liis Viira
Liis Jürgens (Viira) (born Jürgens; years 2010-2020 Viira; born 7 April 1983) is an Estonian composer, harpist, and animator. She has also used the pseudonym Liz Wirestring. Life and career Liis Jürgens has written quite diverse music for orchestras and choirs as well as chamber music and electroacoustic improvisations. Despite being one of the best-known harp players in Estonia and a member of Estonian State Symphony Orchestra, she often uses harp along with non-classical instruments. She has admitted her compositions for human voice are difficult for singers as she uses voice like just another instrument. Jürgens tends to stress the importance of lyrics, and has often composed her own due to lack of poetry intrinsically harmonic with the music. Liis Koger (born 23 December 1989 in Pärnu) is an Estonian painter and poet based in Tallinn. Education Koger graduated from Pärnu Sütevaka High School Of Humanities. She has studied Psychology and Theology at University of Tartu and graduated University of Tartu in 2013 with a BA degree in Painting, Fine Arts. Liis Remmel (until 2021, Liis Lass; born 2 April 1989) is an Estonian stage, film, and television actress. Early life and education Liis Remmel (maiden name Lass) was born in Põltsamaa, Jõgeva County in 1989. She graduated from secondary school at the Põltsamaa Gymnasium in 2008. Afterward, she studied acting at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn under course supervisor Elmo Nüganen, graduating in 2012 after appearing in diploma productions in works by Neil Simon, Molière, Alexander "Sasha" Pepelyaev, and Polly Stenham. Nele-Liis Vaiksoo (born 16 March 1984 in Tallinn) is an Estonian singer and actress, known for her work in musical theatre. Biography In the 1990s, Nele-Liis Vaiksoo toured Europe with the Eesti Televisioon (ETV) concert choir where she had been singing from an early age. Simultaneously, she took piano classes in a music school. In 2000 she was placed fourth at the all-Estonian song contest for children, organized by ETV.
