Leonid Dimov
Leonid Dimov (; bg, Леонид Димов) (January 11, 1926 – December 5, 1987) was a Romanian postmodernist poet and translator born in Izmail, Bassarabia. The son of Nadejda Dimov and Naum Mordcovici, he was one of the main representatives (together with, amongst others, Dumitru Țepeneag) of onirism in Romanian poetry, explorer of the dream as an absolute, objective reality. He graduated from the Saint Sava High School in Bucharest. Then he studied for three years at the philology department of the University of Bucharest. Without graduating, he studied again for three years at the biology department. After a dispute (it seems that he questioned at a seminar the logic of Michurinist science) he was expelled. He also followed courses in law and mathematics at the same University of Bucharest. Florin Pucă
Florin Pucă (April 24, 1932 — February 23, 1990) was a Romanian graphic artist. He was also a close collaborator of Leonid Dimov's, having illustrated several of his literary works. Securitate
The Securitate (, Romanian for ''security'') was the popular term for the Departamentul Securității Statului (Department of State Security), the secret police agency of the Socialist Republic of Romania. Previously, before the communist regime, Romanian secret police was called Siguranța Statului. It was founded on 30 August 1948, with help and direction from the Soviet MGB. Following the overthrow of Nicolae Ceaușescu in 1989, the new authorities assigned the various intelligence tasks of the DSS to new institutions. The Securitate was, in proportion to Romania's population, one of the largest secret police forces in the Eastern bloc. The first budget of the Securitate in 1948 stipulated a number of 4,641 positions, of which 3,549 were filled by February 1949: 64% were workers, 4% peasants, 28% clerks, 2% persons of unspecified origin, and 2% intellectuals. __NOTOC__ Miron Radu Paraschivescu (; 2 October 1911 – 17 February 1971) was a Romanian poet, essayist, journalist, and translator. Born in Zimnicea, Teleorman County, he went to high school in Ploiești, after which he studied fine arts, first in Cluj and later in Bucharest, without graduating. He then enrolled at the Letters and Philosophy Department of the University of Bucharest.
