Lasi Dialect (Sindhi)
Lasi, or Lassi, also called Kohistani () is a dialect of the Sindhi language spoken on the western frontier of Sindh and Balochistan in Pakistan. It is spoken by the Sindhi Lasi people of Lasbela, Hub and Gwadar in Balochistan, and Lasi is also spoken in the Kohistan region of Karachi, Thatta and Jamshoro districts of Sindh. Loanwords Lasi is known to use loanwords from other languages, primarily from Persian as well as Balochi. Orthography Lasi uses the same orthography as Sindhi except an extra letter, ۏ, which has been added to the Balochi Standard Alphabet. Hub District
Hub District ( Balochi, Lasi, ), is a coastal administrative district and located at southern part of Balochistan Province of Pakistan. The district was created after bifurcation of Lasbela District in 2022. It is located south of the Balochistan province, Hub district is bordered by Arabian sea to its south, Lasbela district to its west, Karachi division to its south east, Dadu district to its north east, Jamshoro district to its east, Khuzdar to its north and north west. Balochistan (; ; , ) is a province of Pakistan. Located in the southwestern region of the country, Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan by land area but is the least populated one. Balochi alphabets ( Balochi: بلۏچی سیاھگ; Balòci Siyàhag) consist of the Balòrabi script, based on the Perso-Arabic script, and the Balòtin script, based on the Latin script. Balochi Language
Balochi (, romanized: ) is a Northwestern Iranian language, spoken primarily in the Balochistan region of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. In addition, there are speakers in Oman, the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, Turkmenistan, East Africa and in diaspora communities in other parts of the world. Thatta District
Thatta District (, ) is located in the southern area, locally called ''Laar'', of the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Its capital is Thatta. It is home to a large necropolis of Makli. In 2013, several talukas were separated to form the new Sujawal District. History The capital of three successive native Sindhi dynasties and later ruled by the Mughal.
