Laredo Colombia Solidarity Port Of Entry
The Laredo Columbia Solidarity Port of Entry is located at the Colombia – Solidarity International Bridge (sometimes referred to as "Bridge III"). It is the only port of entry from the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. It was built in 1991 in an effort to relieve traffic from the congested downtown Laredo bridges. Farm To Market Road 1472
Farm to Market Road 1472 (FM 1472) is a farm-to-market road in the U.S. state of Texas that connects the industrial area of Laredo to the Laredo–Colombia Solidarity International Bridge, and then runs roughly parallel to the Rio Grande into rural Webb County. In the urban sections of Laredo, it is a six-lane route known locally as Mines Road. Route description The southern terminus of FM 1472 is in Laredo, at IH 35 exit #4. The route travels to the north and crosses I-69W/ US 59/ Loop 20 just east of the World Trade International Bridge. It then takes a northwesterly route, paralleling the Rio Grande. It has a junction with SH 255, the former Camino Colombia Toll Road, near the Laredo city limits. The route continues through unincorporated Webb County before reaching the end of its designation north of Carricitos Creek. Laredo ( ; ) is a city in and the county seat of Webb County, Texas, United States, on the north bank of the Rio Grande in South Texas, across from Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Laredo has the distinction of flying seven flags (the flag of the former Republic of the Rio Grande, which is now the flag of the city, in addition to the Six Flags of Texas). Founded in 1755, Laredo grew from a village to the capital of the short-lived Republic of the Rio Grande to the largest inland port on the Mexican border. The Laredo–Colombia Solidarity International Bridge is one of four vehicular international bridges located on the U.S.-Mexico border in the city of Laredo, Texas; it connects Laredo over the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo) with Colombia in Anáhuac, Nuevo León.
