KODZ (99.1 FM) is a commercial radio station in Eugene, Oregon, broadcasting to the Eugene- Springfield radio market. The station is owned by Bicoastal Media and airs a classic hits radio format. The studios and offices are on River Valley Road in Springfield. The transmitter is off Hill Road north of Springfield, amid towers for other Eugene-area FM and TV stations. KODZ is also heard on an FM translator station in Florence, K237EC 95.3 MHz. History The station signed on the air in November 1968 as KPNW-FM. It was owned by Pacific Northwest Broadcasting, along with AM 1120 KPNW. KPNW-FM carried an automated beautiful music format, featuring 15 minute sweeps of mostly instrumental cover versions of pop songs, Broadway and Hollywood show tunes. KSAZ-TV (channel 10) is a television station in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, broadcasting the Fox network. It is owned and operated by the network's Fox Television Stations division alongside MyNetworkTV station KUTP (channel 45). Both stations share studios on West Adams Street in Downtown Phoenix, while KSAZ-TV's transmitter is located atop South Mountain. Channel 10 was the third television station established in Phoenix; briefly a time-share between two separate stations, it went on to become a top-rated station as CBS affiliate KOOL-TV, a call sign used until being sold in 1982 and becoming KTSP-TV. KKNT (960 AM, "960 The Patriot") is a radio station broadcasting a conservative talk radio format in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The station is owned by Salem Communications Holding Corporation, a subsidiary of the Salem Media Group. Studios are located at 24th Street and Camelback in Phoenix; the transmitter is on the city's northern edge. Established in 1947 as KOOL, the station became a force in Phoenix radio nearly immediately after Gene Autry purchased the outlet within a year of its operation. CKMB-FM is a Canadian radio station, broadcasting at 107.5 FM in Barrie, Ontario. The station airs music in the hot adult contemporary format. The station was launched in 2001 by Central Ontario Broadcasting (Rock 95 Broadcasting (Barrie-Orillia) Ltd.), the owners of CFJB. It was launched as ''Star 107.5''. CKMB's call letters were taken from station owner Doug Bingley's desire to name the station after his children, Michael, Matthew and Megan Bingley. He had originally wanted to use the call letters for CFJB when that station was launched in 1988, although the call sign was not available at that time. On August 20, 2004, the CRTC approved Rock 95's application to change CKMB's frequency to 107.7 MHz and to change the authorized contours by relocating the transmitter.
