King Of The Hill (soundtrack)
''King of the Hill'' is a soundtrack album to the animated Fox sitcom ''King of the Hill''. It was released in 1999 via Asylum Records. The album includes covers of southern rock songs and original songs, performed by country and rock artists (some of which have appeared on the show). Two songs from the album were released as singles: Travis Tritt and George Thorogood's cover of Hank Williams' "Move It On Over" and Barenaked Ladies' " Get in Line". Both songs were made into music videos. Brooks & Dunn's cover of Bob Seger's "Against the Wind" also charted on the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart at number 53 from unsolicited airplay. Country Rock
Country rock is a genre of music which fuses rock and country. It was developed by rock musicians who began to record country-flavored records in the late 1960s and early 1970s. "Down on the Corner" is a song by the American band Creedence Clearwater Revival. It appeared on their fourth studio album, ''Willy and the Poor Boys'' (1969). The song peaked at No. 3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 on 20 December 1969. The flip side, " Fortunate Son", reached No. 14 on the United States charts on 22 November 1969, the week before ''Billboard'' changed its methodology on double-sided hits. In Canada, the single reached No. 4 in December 1969, and No. 5 in New Zealand. Tonic is an American rock band, formed in 1993 by Emerson Hart and Jeff Russo. Later members have included Dan Lavery, Kevin Shepard, and Dan Rothchild. Signed to a recording contract in 1995, the band released its debut album '' Lemon Parade'' in 1996. "East Bound and Down" is a song written by Jerry Reed and Deena Kaye Rose, and recorded by Reed for the soundtrack for the film ''Smokey and the Bandit''.
